Ramani Bharadwaj is an Indian music composer,singer-songwriter, who predominantly known for his work in Tamil cinema. He is a recipient of the Kalaimamani Award for the year 2008 from the Tamil Nadu State Government.
Bharadwaj was born in Ravanasamudram, Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu, but spent his entire childhood in Delhi.
He started his career composing for television series Vizhudhugal and telugu films, his breakthrough came with Ajithkumar starrer Kadhal Mannan (1998).
He has composed songs "Satham Illatha Thanimai Kaeten" (Amarkalam), "Avaravar Vazhkayil" (Pandavar Bhoomi), "O Podu" (Gemini), "Apple Penney" (Roja Koottam), "Unai Naan Unai Naan" (Jay Jay), "Gnabagam Varuthey" (Autograph), "Kaadu Thirandey, "Siruchi Siruchi Vanthan" (Vasool Raja MBBS), "Oru Vaarthai Ketka" (Ayya), "Thaiyatha Thaiyatha" (Thiruttu Payale), "Meendum Palliku Pogalam" (Pallikoodam), "Margazhiyil Kuluchiparu" (Onbadhu Roobai Nottu), "Hey Dushyantha", "Totadoing" (Asal), "Azhagazhagey" (Kalavaadiya Pozhuthugal).

அதாவது இவர் இசையமைத்த ஒவ்வொரு பூக்களுமே க்கு சித்ரா விருது பெற்றால் இவர் இசையால் ஆனால் பாடறியேன் படிப்பறியேன் பாட்டிற்கு சித்ரா விருது பெற்றால் சித்ரா அவர்களின் திறமையால்.... Nice try. I see a general contempt to Illayaraja throughout. While his music is surely good overall interview he comes across a high headed person.

Look sir, Ilayaraja actually doesn't deserve all this "முட்டு" you are giving him. He is a very head strong person! Haven't you seen interviews of Ilayaraja where he has openly criticized other Composers? Then why are you so concerned?

Avar sonna argument looks like it makes sense? Don't get me wrong I like ilayaraja much more than him. But his argument here sounds reasonable. Nevertheless, I don't think ovvoru pookkalumae deserves the two awards at all 😂

@@manikandanbalasundar I just don't think ovvoru pookkalumae is a great song. I don't think anybody should get an award for it is what I meant 😂 Also, when he says Chitra deserves the award for paadariyen, I didn't take that to automatically mean ilayaraja DIDN'T deserve an award for it too. It's simply an example of why a SINGER should get an award. It's a complex song that wouldn't have been the same with any other singer is his argument. Strangely enough, I personally don't like that song either. I think the lyrics are too pretentious.
