Bhagwat Jha Azad was a veteran Parliamentarian and was a six-time Lok Sabha MP, freedom fighter and Chief Minister of Bihar. In late fifties, he was secretary to former Congress President Indira Gandhi. In early 80s, he refused to become state minister in Indira Gandhi's council of minister owing to his desire to get Cabinet rank.
"Hey Prabhu muhjko shakti do ki mein apne pradesh aur apni Janata ka yathashakti bhalai aur supragati ke kanya karsakun." This was the prayer that Bihar's new Chief Minister, Bhagwat Jha Azad, scribbled on a piece of paper soon after he entered the state secretariat on February 15, bis second day in office. To stem the rot which has set in, the 60-year-old Azad certainly needs God on his side - along with the state's politicians and bureaucrats.Watch the video to know more about Bhagwat Jha Azad by the Editor of 'The Lallantop' Saurabh Dwivedi.
