That is not where the Temp probe should be fitted on the C Class. The probe should be fitted in the rubber socket [bracket] on the front bumper near the fog lamp.

Yes you are correct but that piece was broken off the bumper that is why I mounted it from there.

Do some research before you post a hack repair. That is NOT how you secure the sensor.
