@ Definitely should have bought some fuses from the gas station and kept the torches as a last hope thing, when I saw him pull into the gas station I though yeah ok fuses makes sense.

@@superfly223 Shit can happen whether you check things beforehand or not. Sometimes you have to drive/ride despite problem you have if you can't fix it and it is not absolutely critical. OODA loop. Evaluate and adjust.

I'm with you brother. I don't know what your disability is but I use a cane and sometimes a walker. I put my cane in my backpack after getting on the bike. It folds down.

I have 4 Fusions in my Neck, and 2 in my Lower Back. I have Chronic Pain and a Medtronic’s Pain Pump inside me. The only freedom I really have is when I’m on my Bike. It’s the only thing I can do that doesn’t hurt. I ride a 2006 BMW R1200GS and the way the ergonomics are it puts my Back in just the right position where I’m comfortable. I’m a Disabled Veteran and can’t afford anything newer, but at least I’m Riding. I’m 62 now, and if I live to be a Hundred, I’ll be riding a Bike with some sort of Wheelchair attachment.😁❤️

Wish I had watched this entire video sooner. Love stories like this. Just by chance happen to call the dealership where the guy who you gifted the Dyna works. That is such an awesome story. It is adventures like these that make motorcycling so joyous to me. 99,500 miles and the only reason its leaking oil is because of the shift shaft o-ring!! That is a testament to the reliability of a modern Harley Davidson motorcycle. I am looking forward to seeing how many miles this bike can go. Awesome!!!

This year (2019) I took my 1986 Honda Shadow from Maryland to Sturgis for the yearly Sturgis meetup. I paid 1600$ for the motorcycle and it made it approximately 3000-4000 miles bringing me back home to where I started. Except for a 400$ pre trip inspection and fluid change I barely spent a dime on the bike. I don't know about Harley's but I'm confident that affordable motorcycles especially Hondas can take whatever you put them through.

Of us that believe, we should all be following Sean’s example, and be regularly speaking to our faith and belief system, because God knows, people need a firmer foundation to build their house upon in these dark days, where the visible storm systems are on the horizon

I had the headlight thing happen on my CBR. I was pulling out of my work parking lot in the middle of winter. As soon as I backed out of my spot the headlights (both hi and lo) quit but everything else worked. After some troubleshooting, I found the problem. Honda, in their infinite wisdom, routed the headlight wires through the start button to kill the headlights when you crank the bike. The wires broke their solder joints and it was apparently a common problem. I fixed it twice over the following year and it kept failing, so I bypassed it entirely and added a manual toggle switch (comes in handy to turn the lights off when I'm in the middle of working on my bike with the ignition turned on).

Sean, Sean, Sean. I can’t believe you didn’t do a walk around inspection on the bike before you left. You know, lights, turn signals, brake lights, tire air pressure, oil level etc. Oh well, experience is the best teacher!

Me and 2 of my buds were on a road trip in Ohio, and GPS was supposed to be taking us to our hotel. We got off the freeway and drove through a bad neighborhood. When the GPS said, “You’ve arrived at your destination”, we were at a cemetery at the end of a dead end street. 😳

Hey man. You probably won’t see this but whatever. Watching your videos is the reason I bought a bike. Started on a buell blast I bought for 1k. Got comfortable around the cagers and bought a Harley. Joined b.a.c.a bay bridges chapter and now I’m helping kids, because of your videos. Keep up the content, it really makes a difference and I’m the proof.

Yes prayers are all way s good . Me and my family are going thur a bad situation right now and we need all the prayers we can get . That some one is doing us very wrong . It s the hardest thing we have had to go thur. Its over the courts giving these 2 little grils that we took in and had the grils for almost 3 years and they did not want to go back home with their corrupt parents . If you want to hear more just let me know . It hurts me and my family so much .

@@jrrains the judge ask the parents if they would let us be a part of the grils life s and the mother said yes . But it has been almost 5 month since we have seen them . This is not good for the grils . The parents should know that its not good to keep the grils from seeing us. They never get to go to church any more . We always took them to church with us . I have so many Christian friends that have told me that God has a plan for us and keep the faith . Knowing the kind of parents these grils have I do not belive that God wants the grils with them . We were always good to the parents to let them see and talk to the grils and now this is the way they are doing us . I donot see how they think this is right.

I only ask because I think you or someone could catch them doing something nefarious then file am emergency petition. They'll slip up at some point document all you can And pray about it.

Not a bike. But I put flashlights into the tail lights of my 82 dodge pick up to get home 400km after they just died. Bought a set of fog lights to use as headlights and wired quick lol. You are a true McGiver and I was laughing my ass off to see this. 20 years ago and you brought me right back. Thank you :)

I bought my old baby Myrtle new back in 1979, still my dayly drive ride. She's got about 650,000 miles on her. I strip her down & rebuild or replace parts every ten years or so. That's due this winter. In 40 years on my Iron head, I've had my breakdowns and rear flat tires, ect, but it's part of sharing your life with your bike. I hope to get 50 years out of her before I die, at almost 63, I need a rebuild on me, lets hope both of us make it to 2029. Nowdays, it's a young man's world. I'm just living in it. Peace. Strick.

Yeah, I could see checking crankcase oil just to make sure it didn't leak out of there too. But buying more oil it was obvious he didn't know they're two separate reservoirs.

The lights are hilarious. Whatever works... Lol lesson learned.. better preperation next time fuses, spare bulbs... GoPro battery etc.

Hey SRKcycles. I recently went on a Motorcycle trip. It was all good we'll, until my stator decided fry itself. I was left stranded over 300 miles from my destination. Couldn't get a tow to my destination, so I used what you said. Called up a shop and said that I was a traveler. And you know what?! It worked!!! They put me in front of the line and came ASAP to pick up my bike even offered to tow it to my destination. Thanks Sean you're a lifesaver. You're videos are some of the best.

Took an awesome 2,000 mile trip last fall from Maine to South Dakota. Many others have also taken trips, and you are correct - everyone should do it if at all possible. The only downside is that people might get tired of hearing the stories so often.

I live in southeast Alabama 9 miles from the Georga state line and 90 miles from Florida in a tiny town. We have lots of beautiful country roads to ride on. Great road trip video.

I live about 30 miles from Dahlonega,great little town! I have been to Frazier’s Harley many times,even back when it was called the cycle barn in a barn.Next time take a bike with lower miles and save yourself a lot of trouble. I have been riding since I was 17 and the best bike I ever owned was a 2001 Kawasaki Drifter! Great sound with Vance and Hines long shots ,beautiful bike and extremely reliable! I have had many bikes but this one was the best!

Too bad I didn't know about this trip when it happened...Sean rode right past me. I live exactly half way between Winchester, VA and Harrisonburg. Wayne Cycle Center, where he stopped for oil I used to go to all the time back when I had my Kawasaki Vulcans. Awesome to see!

Good observation. Watch a few speeches by the Pope and add up how many times he refers to God (hardly any). Everyone is afraid of appearing to be a religious nut. Even the Ayatollah never mentions Allah when talking to the international media. By contrast, the Hamas leader mentioned God 7 times in a 3-minute statement.

When a dealership finds out your a traveler they give you special treatment, you got that right. CHA CHING. I had an 86 Wing, 136,000 mi, changed a stator out, and the usual wearable items, no problems. Cool ride, be safe out there.

Winchester Va .. I rode a 750 1973 Honda in March of 1988 From Kingston,Michigan to Wichester Va and then a week later back to Kingstaon Mich . My brother lived in Winchester and I went to visit... When I pulled into the garage at 1 am in Kingston Mich after riding nonstop and my hands were so cold I had to slide them off the ends of the grips before I could get off the bike ... on my way back to Mich I saw the welcome to Michigan sign and as I crossed in to Mich..it immediately began snowing .. and snowing ... I will never forget that trip.

You really are blessed by someone. You drove with oil leaking on your rear tire with no issues and just happened to meet somebody you gave a bike to so they could help you out of a jam.

I took a 1600 mile trip from Seattle down to California to see the Red Wood trees from a bike this year. It was AMAZING. 5 days I will never forget. Get out there and do the big trips.

Aside for the troubles, I’m super envious. I have always wanted to make a trip like that with my father (he used to ride when I was growing up, and I’m just now learning about bikes). I don’t know if we ever will, and that bothers me.

Hi Sean just found the channel and spent the last 3 days watching everything 😂 Just a side note as to what you mentioned right at the end about dealer prices and although I do agree with you cost is still a massively prohibitive factor in owning a bike ( or any vehicle for that matter) I am in the UK and the cost for me personally is somewhat out of reach due to being a mature student, but seeing how you have resurrected so many cheep bikes ahs given me the inspiration to tackle a project over the summer in hope of finally getting my first bike Keep up the great video's Travis

Not to put down folks who keep it local, but as one who takes long solo rides regularly two things: The Harley tourers can do 100k with no problem. I put 110k on my ‘05 Ultra Classic before I sold it and it ran perfectly and didn’t use oil or anything. Also, long rides are tons of adventure and while occasionally stressful (like finding a campground in unfamiliar places), but you get a sense of accomplishment from having put yourself out there and handling whatever comes up. Hope vids like this inspire folks to expand their horizons a bit.

Please, I rode to Alaska from Georgia and back on a 100k Harley (1993, it turned 100K in Alaska), then in 2010 road the same Harley with a Watsonian Cambridge sidecar to Alaska and back again...the bike is in my Garage and still runs fine. Piece of flippin' cake.

I once had my light fuse blow out when i rode an old Yamaha fizzy as a teen, i spent my night sitting on the side of the road waiting for cars to chase after to use their lights to guide my way. needless to say i spent a LOT of time on the side of the road

Nice trip, looks like you visited my current home town, Dahlonega Ga nice! Funny thing I may soon be doing something similar to what you are doing, last few years beside running my small Renovation business I have been picking up lightly damaged sportbikes, making them road worthy again and reselling them, considering doing that full time instead, watching what you have done is giving me the cajones to make the leap we will see. Anyway TY for the vids, and as far as this trip, there are very few things that can get you centered like a nice long motorcycle roadtrip, I know from personal experience ;-)

I much rather be "bored" with my dependable 12' Yamaha Raider S that I bought new last year that I bring to the dealer to check every year before riding season that I usually just jump on and take off than a bike I have to fix to complete a ride, but to each their own. I much rather enjoy the exhaust sound, my playlist on Spotify in my helmet, the scenery, and the weather than worry about finding what's wrong, then finding the parts/shop to fix it so I can make it home, but to each there own. Ride safe

First long ride this weekend. Have done 6 hour trips multiple times but nothing much bigger. Riding to and around Lake Michigan, just over 1200 miles.

When I first met my wife, our first trip together was an impromptu two day ride through the Smokies on my 1996 Virago 1100. One of those magic moments when everything went so perfectly that we couldn't have planned it any better! We will remember that forever!

Don't understand why the big Viragos get no love. I've had a few. Maybe it's because they're too dependable, too quick, too comfortable, too long lasting, & just too good. Kinda takes the "adventure" out of having a bike I guess.

@@jackandblaze5956 I absolutely love my XV750. Looks great and goes well, easy to work on, handles brilliantly and just puts a smile on my face at any speed. Makes more power and torque than a 1200 panhead. That said I'd kill for a panhead, I love pretty much all bikes, especially V twins, and I'm desperate to get a nice old Harley

Good trip. I saw a 100,000 shovelhead last summer. The top end had been done a couple times but the bottom of the engine was original.
