As your dutch wife hopefully can confirm, the best 'letter to a president' was a song by a dutch artist named Boudewijn De Groot and a song called 'welterusten, mijnheer de president' (sleeptight, mr president) about the Vietnam war. One of the greatest songs to ever Come from my dutch neighbours

Klassieker!! I'll show them. Was also thinking about Lange Frans & Baas B, 'Het land van' as I see there is a version with subtitles, but I think they might not catch half the references 😆 what do you think?

@@BeersBars Another great song and as a Belgian who's quite fond of The Netherlands, I get most of the references but outsiders might not so much. May be good way to grow the dutch fanbase though. I would have suggested Zwangere Guy before but didn't for the same 'context' reasons.
