Want to see a stunning use of a guitar? Trace Bundy, known as The Acoustic Ninja preforms three songs with incredible imagination and skill.
Trace Bundy must be seen, not just heard. His music is poetry in motion, using harmonics, looping, multiple capos, and his unique banter and stage presence to deliver an unforgettable live concert experience. Listening to his intricate arrangements is one thing, but seeing the fan-dubbed “Acoustic Ninja” play live confounds even the most accomplished music lovers as to how one person can do all that with just two hands and ten fingers.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

***** you're wrong. I play guitar. I do know what I'm doing. There's a reason most people don't play acoustic this way. It's really difficult.
@agenerichuman
@agenerichuman 8 жыл бұрын
***** maybe the word "hurt" is where you catch your hang up on. yeah, hurt is probably a poor choice of words, but it's really fucking difficult to do finger tapping that much and that quickly on an acoustic and have it be audible. The reason is because the strings are so thick.
@upya3813

+George Carlin First of all, I want to ask you what exact part you mean he ''stole'' from you? Did you mean Pachelbel's Canon? Surely not! I mean, surely, surely not... Or was it the actual technique of tapping and hammering? - Because I'm pretty sure mankind has had an innate need to tap and hammer on things since oh I don't know, the Stone Age! In fact, I'm sure it was actually dabbled in during the very creation of the guitar, let alone any stringed instrument, I mean that's conceivable right? Perhaps it was the relatively simple chord progression and arpeggiaic melody that is confined by the limits of diatonic notation notwithstanding the a humans possibility to audibly perceive pitch, effectively rendering only so many variations of 12 notes/tones available?* - Unless you're like a superhuman Demigod? Oh Please! Show us your Minor Dominance and make us all laugh and tell me he stole the idea of playing G major and D minor in contrasting concert from you?! Help me out I'm struggling here!... Wait, wait... was it playing TWO GUITARS on stage at the same time?... Maybe it was using a delay pedal on a guitar? MAYBE you invented the delay pedal? Conceptualized syncopated rhythms? Pioneered in the form of notation of Time Signatures? DID YOU INVENT SOUND? No really, I really need to know WHAT exactly you THINK he stole from you?... Secondly, where is your KZfaq video of you performing in front of a crowd? Where is your undeniable actual evidence of this abhorrent atrocity you seem to flippantly accuse of? I checked your page... No Content. I think you may potentially be just a tiny bit lacking on proof there buddy. Might I remind everyone that even Picasso said: ''Good Artist's copy - Great Artist's Steal'' Thirdly, I'm stealing the term Satan Clause for use in my own vocabulary when it's suitable because well, it is quite the fun little quip isn't it? Thanks for that! I also liked that you said ''...but it's a hurts good.'' This shows that, even as a Demigod, you are willing to share and THAT is the kind of virtue the world needs more of!... It's why we love Thor and hate Loki! In retrospect, the world also needs more Artists like this one, more-over the world needs to educate itself on WHY it needs them and I would like to compliment and congratulate Trace on exploring the not-so-commonly explored (and delivered) facets of music and incalculable possibilities* we can find with a little ingenuity and effort. He, and other like contemporaries, remind us that all is not about ''The Drop'' and inspire other creatives to constantly evolve and search out new and exiting avenues... until we never find that ever elusive ''Masterpiece.''

We're a year late to the "it's hard to finger-tap on acoustic" party, but yeah, that guitar has a thingy coming from the body..oh, it's a cable. Cmon, SMALL strings, easy to tap...it's a nice effort but he didn't do anything amazing. Simple song, simple technique. (yes I can do all that & it's not high level playing)
