I actually going to wait until April for the physical deluxe edition to release. But it is very nice to hear all the positive reviews that are currently available. Which just hopefully means come April any bugs and performance issues should be ironed out by then.

@@SorryBones A “Travelers Journal”, 3 art cards, some in game cosmetic pack items, a reversible cover art for the box & it’s packaged in a deluxe sleeve. Would have been awesome if they had a collectors edition with a station wagon model. I’d have bought it.

Performance is not great on the current version. You do well to wait a little bit. I'm keeping myself busy with system shock until then

They have a free demo up on steam you can play. But I’ve got a 3070 and a Ryzen 5 5600x and was averaging like 45-50fps at 1440p. Full game might be better tho!

The demo is known to have major performance issues. That's why we're hoping they sorted it out for the release.

The car look like a Ghost Buster car n the tech n supernatural also made me think devs take inspiration from Ghost Busters for sure

Is there a goal to the game? Something you're aiming towards to complete the game and any story?

I’ve played a lot of it by this point, it has a really interesting story told in the same style as bioshock i.e. people talking to you over the radio and finding old documents to read and recordings to listen too. It’s a really interesting mystery assuming that style works for you

Admittedly, I'm only into the game few hours, but already the resource aspect of this game to be monotonous to the point of exhaustion. The tech advancement of the car is frustratingly slow, and certain resources (PLASTIC!) are so rare that it stops you dead in your tracks. The game has sooooo much potential, as the concept and narrative are almost completely unique. The notion of having your car as your best friend and protector is genius, but I just can't bring myself to scrap one more car for two items of scrap metal and a coil of wire. There are also some aspects of the game that are utterly inscrutable with little or no explanation. Even the text blurb that is supposed to act as a definition of the part, tool, resource or system usually substitutes cutsie cheek for real information. I'm not averse to grinding (The Forest) but the grind yields so little so slowly, that it just begins to seem like work instead of a fun game. I really hope they can massage this game into something a bit less tedious and a bit more engaging over the next few months, because my oh my, this game could be infatuating.

Really? Once you find out where to find each of the materials the farming for stuff is super easy. I was able to pretty quickly upgrade or craft everything that I needed rather early on and without having to go out of my way to “just farm”. It surprises me to hear you are struggling with it so much. Maybe look up a guide for materials so that takes some of that difficulty away for yourself?

Like the look of the game and the world setting, but the actual gameplay (from what I’ve seen) is not for me. Not a fan of crafting, or games that revolve around crafting. Might check it out once it’s super cheap (like $5)
