Gipsy Danger tracks down the quick and acid spitting Kaiju named Otachi and do their best to beat it to a pulp.

Filmmaker Guillermo del Toro teams up with Legendary Pictures to bring audiences a unique take on the monster film with this sci-fi production. Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy) stars as a washed-out controller and pilot of a series of robots called Jaegers, which are put into production after Earth is invaded by a species of giant monsters, the Kaijus. The Brothers Bloom's Rinko Kikuchi co-stars as a trainee whom Hunnam is psychically paired with in order to pilot the last beacon of hope -- a decommissioned Jaeger assigned to stop the Kaijus once and for all. Thor's Idris Elba leads the rest of the starring cast, which includes Charlie Day, Rob Kazinsky and Ron Perlman.

Not gonna lie its not the animators fault For Uprising the animation was great but the script writer just put too many plot twists This is a good movie in terms of CGI For CGI i would give it a 9/10 for plot writing i would give it a 6/10 Its also the unnecessary Death of great characters like Mako which prompted some of the backlash Also the inclusion of teenagers also Added to the backlash like why recruit Young Not fully mature teenagers rather than experienced Air Force pilots Also The eerie Similarity's to Iron man 2s Plot Like in Iron Man 2 they wanted to make unmanned drones like how They wanted to make unpiloted jaegers also how in both movies there is a lot of property damage tot he buildings around I also like this movie but i feel like its hated too much Ever pacific rim clip has 14 year olds ranting about How this film sucked when all i wanted to do is see a dude comment about how cool It looks when Gypsy Danger smacks Otachi in the face with a Cargo ship So that's it my in depth analysis of Pacific Rim uprising

Gypsy knew about Otachi's two main Jaeger-killing weapons, that being the claw-tail designed to crush conn-pods and the acidic spit that would melt even the toughest metal armour. It gave the adaptive Gypsy Danger a chance to beat the Kaiju that had just taken out 2 of the 4 legendary final Jaegers, a chance the Gypsy's crew took and won. Unlike Crimson, a GEN4 electric-powered Jaeger with 3 damage-focused but thin arms, Gypsy was able to hold back Otachi's claw-tail with its stronger arms and had coolant (meant to prevent its own nuclear reactor from exploding) to freeze then smash it. Crimson's attack pattern was largely avoided on instinct by Otachi, and its 3 saw-blade arms without hands couldn't block Otachi's muscular claw-tail from going directly for the head. Even if Otachi hadn't decapitated Crimson with a surprise direct attack onto the small conn-podd with the claw-tail, Leatherback's EMP would have knocked out Crimson anyway, and given the EMPs range and the water depth they were fighting at, there was no way that Crimson would have been able to evade the EMP. There wasn't anything it could do against 2 Kaiju specifically meant to kill it. Unlike Cherno, a GEN1 heavily-armoured but slow tank of a Jaeger, Gypsy was able to dodge out of the acid spitstream whereas Cherno neither had the mobility nor the knowledge of the acidic spit itself. Not only that, but Gypsy's fingered hands, unlike Cherno's veritable punching blocks, allowed it to grab Otachi's spit sac and rip it out, something Cherno couldn't have done the blocky pistons it had as hands. The whole Hong Kong battle was a showcase of how adapting your weapon to your enemy and having the element of surprise is crucial. Refurbrished Gypsy Danger was an unknown to Otachi and Leatherback, and its adaptive crew proved their resourcefulness once it learned of the latters' special weapons.

Not gonna lie its not the animators fault the animation was great but the script writer just put too many plot twists This is a good movie in terms of CGI For CGI i would give it a 9/10 for plot writing i would give it a 6/10 Its also the unnecessary Death of great characters like Mako which prompted some of the backlash Also the inclusion of teenagers also Added to the backlash like why recruit Young Not fully mature teenagers rather than experienced Air Force pilots Also The eerie Similarity's to Iron man 2s Plot Like in Iron Man 2 they wanted to make unmanned drones like how They wanted to make unpiloted jaegers also how in both movies there is a lot of property damage tot he buildings around I also like this movie but i feel like its hated too much Ever pacific rim clip has 14 year olds ranting about How this film sucked when all i wanted to do is see a dude comment about how cool It looks when Gypsy Danger smacks Otachi in the face with a Cargo ship So that's it my in depth analysis of Pacific Rim uprising

@@holycrusader7965 Teens- not mindless animals- even I know it's stupid and I'm a teenager. Like common sense is not a thing in this movie or what? Paying close attention and you'll see the strategy of the pilots are using in this movie: they try to analyze the monster before engaging, also they try to disable the parts that is harmful first, for example: Crimson Typhoon didn't just blindly attack Otachi and wait to see what's under its sleeve, it's unlucky for them to die, tho. It's a terrible mistake of Cherno Alpha 'cause the pilots were too complacent that they ignore this procedure and just blindly rush at Otachi without knowing its acidic trait. And Gypsy when try to kill Otachi, Raleigh and Mako focused on cutting the tail and ripping the... well the muscle that spits out acid from some kind of gland, Idk. It's pure logic, consider being born in such world and trained at a very young age, it doesn't make sense that those teens aren't very sharp.

this is precisely the reason why i heard a navy seal say something around this line 20yrs ago on discovery channel: "you can give a wimp all the weapons in the world, all the tanks, all the guns, but he'll still be a wimp, but an unarmed warrior is always dangerous." the tech needed isn't external, the most important tech anyone must have must be first internal: his mindset ("i can kill all of you"), his identity ("i am a predator, i am dangerous, i am capable"), his skills in taking apart the opponent systematically. before you touch any tool, you yourself must first be THE weapon, everything else you attach to your person simply makes beating the opponent that much easier, but first you must have already beaten the opponent through sheer exhaustive preparation. if barney and mr. bean were to pilot a jaeger, they will simply trash a trillion-dollar toy doing their best to flee from the kaiju, but if jason bourne and robert mccall were to shake hands and be not even given any giant toy, the trespassers were already dead from the point of the handshake.

One thing I love about these scenes is how little real-time reacting there is. That sounds weird, but hear me out. Once you get to this size, not only is there gonna be essentially input delay, with your brain's signals taking noticeable time to get where they need to go, but your sheer mass will make quick movements impossible. This places a lot more emphasis on pre-empting stuff, eg. Otachi catching the third swing of the boat after taking the first two.

I’ve never seen giant bipedal war machines done so well. Every movement of the Jaeger _feels_ heavy and mechanical. It moves smoothly, but has a methodical slowness to it that really gives you the impression of immense weight and strength. The sequential metallic clicking of the fingers popping open one by one after getting free from the tail also looks and sounds _amazing_ and really makes the machine look tremendously more menacing as it turns back to the Kaiju! And that opening riff as GD strides towards the Kaiju with that boat in hand makes my adrenaline spike like I’m fixing to watch the nastiest cage match in history.

Yes. It may seem obscure or even childish to some, but I believe the Rule of Cool is fully legit and a fundamental film-making law for action in movies/shows/anime if you want the audience to like what they're seeing. Especially if it's make-belief action like this.

jokes apart, i cant believe how much the animation team did this umm MASTERPIECE i am a blender artist for 2 years but i am still new but i can understand how much work they did for example 1: its raining in which when an objects move the water that is stuck is moving when the object move 2: i like the lighting system they really showed us the bright atmosphere in tokyo 3: (most like 2) i like how they added the shiny glossy metallic look on gipsy when it rains and the light is bright it shows more of that metallic thing in gipsy 4: the kaijus god they are so freakin awesome they added the scales it may look like a simple but trust me it's hard to animate moving scales i can even make a good version of pr2 if my laptop is able to handle it lol😂
