FILM DESCRIPTION:
Jake Pentecost is a once-promising Jaeger pilot whose legendary father gave his life to secure humanity's victory against the monstrous Kaiju. Jake has since abandoned his training only to become caught up in a criminal underworld. The fast movement is not really the realisum per say as just like modern technology things become lighter and more stronger like the use of carbon fibre. But yea really just throwing buildings was just a dumb idea, even if there was no one inside, the ammount of property damage just sky rocketed because of that.

Best scene in the movie. Ajax feels huge and heavy, intimidating and implacable, which is sorely absent in the comic-book punch-ups later on. But there's something else I really like: its pilots show perfect restraint and professionalism. Most popcorn movies would paint an antagonist authority figure as a psycho ready to pop off with deadly force the instant anything irritates it. The kid piloting a glorified lunchbox got away from Ajax twice and even made them reboot, but they're still just like, "Stop, you don't have to do this." I get the impression they might even -- gasp! -- have a bit of respect for her.

The only scene I like. November Ajax's movements are still somewhat realistic compared to the rest of the Jaegers in this movie. Scrapper too, because he's small, so realistic wise he is somewhat more fast and egile.

That’s selling these Pan Pacific Defense Corps dudes short. Cops are notorious for becoming violent and verbally abusive after a long day. The more docile and defenseless the target, the greater their ire. These guys are military personnel not domestic law enforcement. Hence the level of restraint against civilian offenders.

One of the things that is intriguing is how November Ajax could reboot itself after being hit by a pseudo-EMP effect. It surely is a nod to how Striker Eureka got disabled by EMP in the first movie, and how does the post Gen-5 models have countermeasures to prevent the scenarios from repeating themselves.

RIP November Ajax, for those who dont know he died during australias defence in the anime pacific rim black which was set further along the future. Same goes to striker berserker, the jaeger which was piloted by the father of one of striker eurekas pilots. Imagine ajax fighting lots of kaijus which just bare fists and those shock things which was his only weapons because hes suppose to be a police type of jaeger

istriker bezerker wasn't destroyed striker was piloted by herc hensen and Scott which is his co pilot herc is the father of Chuck hensen during the fall herc pilot was dead so he had to solo pilot striker bezerker he defeated the best while striker is still bang up but it' still remains unknown as to what happen to herc hensen and what happens to the jeager herc was listed missing along with the jeager i don't know how hard it is solo pilot a giant mech in your late 60 s

November Ajax is one of the only jaegers in the movie to have actual weight and scale to it. It has slight delay just like the old ones, but SLIGHTLY faster then the older models. This is what I would have expected in a future film, the jaegers are upgraded, but not to the point that they are achieving anime speeds with mechs that weigh thousands of tons. After Ajax, the only times the jaegers show scale is when they aren’t fighting, for example: When Obsidian Fury makes its walk to Sidney or when Titan Reedemer attempts to fight and walks in the beginning of the film, they are slow and move with weight and delay, but once the jaegers enter combat, common sense jumps out the window.

This scene was pretty fun. The music was upbeat and techno, Scrapper was adorable, and the environment provided a lot of opportunities for the action. My only problem with it is just how dumb it is. It’s just downright implausible. I refuse to believe that Jake is “street smart” if he thought the ISL fuel pod zapper plan was a good idea. I may have enjoyed this movie on the big screen but the home experience is little more than redundant.

There's a book explaining Scrapper was built by a businessman not one girl. And n the end the plan didn't work. That heap of junk was no match for a professional Jaegar. Id have real issues with the writers if they had outrun November Ajax.

I know everybody is talking about November Ajax, but I am liking the concept of Tiny Jaeger units. We could call them Ogres, and their job would be to help distract, debilitate, and keep Kaijus off kilter with hit and run tactics with either rocket pods or grenade launchers to throw off their aim, energy blades to stab into the legs to stumble them, or 30 mm chain guns or a sort of shotgun to blast into the faces while Jaeger moved in for finishing blows. They would be way more cheaper to make and maintain than the full story building sized Jaegers, thus could throw more out in the field at any given time, and apparently you only need one pilot per Ogre so you won't have to worry about the pilots having to sync up.

I’ve got to admit, the first was much more serious and i like it more. this one was great too but it...it just kinda felt like a movie for kids...i mean, the jaegers in the first one were badass but here...they just look like...toys. Sorry, but i think the first one is way better
