I have my basic 6 test Tuesday, but today I went for a practice. I ended up falling on a spiral, got winded and went to sit down. While I was sitting, my darn blades scraped against the metal chair. No big deal, I thought, because I was supposed to get new skates today. I continued skating, and I knew something was off. When I got off the ice, I realized that the skate shop was closed. I have to skate through a test, with screwed up blades 😭😭

I recently went to Japan (for a school trip) and for some reason they were like "only bring one carry on" and I was so confused and it didn't feel like enough at all. I ended up buying a suitcase while I was there for souvenirs lol...Sadly I couldn't bring my skates 😭 WHERE DID YOU GET THE KUROPPI SOCKS OMG

I haven't heard anybody talk about this. Like ever.. But, how can you convince your parents that you really actually like figure skating? Because my parents only consider this as just some hobby, and I'm like a semi late starter, not like an adult figure skating but. How can I convince them that I really want to do this? They don't even want to fund for coaching or competitions.

I am in the same boat girl..I’m 17 and I fund every penny of my skating myself bc no one believed in me enough to support me. I found a job and figured it out. if you can, work and save up enough to do it yourself. Asking for skates and lessons as birthday gifts or Christmas presents helps too
