Love this video! My husband was just like Travis before our baby was born! He was the youngest, had never been around babies, and was very unsure about how to do things. So I came up with a plan that worked very well for us. The 1st week, he was my "assistant" and stood right by my side to watch and learn ...changing diapers, dressing the baby and swaddling...everything! The 2nd week I was his "assistant". He did great and was a very quick learner. This made it so easy and gave me peace of mind the 1st time I left our son with him alone 😆 he's a pro now for sure and sometimes does things better than I do. Prayers for your little family it's such an exciting time!

Once Hailey is born wrap her in a hospital blanket. Then Travis bring it home an give it to Remy to smell an sleep with a day or so before Katie and Hailey come home.❤❤❤❤

As soon as you look in that sweet baby's eyes your whole world changes. Y'all are going to be great and I am keeping prayers going. Can't wait to see that sweet little Angel.

When my first grand baby was born I was so excited……I literally shopped every day for the perfect going home outfit ….we took 10 different outfits. It was the best

Loved the little lamb one with the magnetic snaps. My daughter brought my first granddaughter home from the hospital in the same outfit she’d worn home from the hospital 27 years earlier! The pictures of them side by side are absolutely priceless!🥰

Your guys' attitude toward the birth is so mature and healthy (and refreshing!). As long as Mom and baby come out healthy, that's all that matters. Expectations and elaborate birth plans often go south very quickly and then the mom feels like a failure or like she was cheated out of the "ideal" birthing experience. So much pressure and fear mongering about parenthood out there. Proud of you guys for going with the flow and focusing on what's truly important. (I too always mentally prepare for the worst, and I usually end up pleasantly surprised.)

It IS such a blessing to have a good family like that! Y'all will be GREAT! Can't WAIT to meet baby girl!!!!! 💗

I am so happy for you. I’m 72 years old and was not able to have children so I live vicariously through you Bates girls as you have babies . I love watching how excited you are becoming as the due date draws nigh. We pray that all will go well and that the hospital will allow both mothers in the room at the same time.

Having family that is there during and after the birth is wonderful. With my first both of our families were together waiting in the waiting room for the baby to be born. They had trays of food and were having a party!! It’s something they will never forget and neither will we. So so so special.

So exciting !! I was concerned as a new mom too about how I’d know when it was really time. Everyone kept telling me “you’ll just KNOW” and I was like what’s that supposed to mean ? How?? But indeed I did. I was afraid of them sending me back home and we were 1.5 hours away from home to the hospital so I really didn’t want that but they admitted me shortly after observation and checking me and all. Most of the time, you will just know. So happy for you guys.

Love how Katie always says her belly is poppin (even since the beginning of preg), enjoyed the hospital bag packing part, the sound effects of how you dropped items in front of the camera was kinda cool. Congratulations! 🎉 I would definitely pack more than 3 outfits for baby girl, usually there is a lot of spit up and runny poops that dirty the outfits quickly. I would think maybe 5-7 just to be safe. Prayers for a safe and fast delivery, and healthy baby🙏🏼

Yep you have your priorities straight! Epidural is great, but I don't recommend induction if possible. They're not fun! But best laid plans, you're right to go in with that exact attitude! That would be awesome if the moms could be in during delivery, especially Travis's mom since it's the first grand! Hopefully the rules will change! I hope our state doesn't go bagless, what a pain! Glad you were able to get into your house, maybe installing a keypad entry would be nice! So exciting! Enjoy this time before baby girl arrives, it's a super magical time! Thanks for sharing!

I'm so excited for you guys! When I had my daughter they brought her into me (she was sleeping in the nursery)early morning and it felt like Christmas morning. I was induced since I was a week late. That was almost 31 yrs ago.

Helpful tip. I had multiple house keys made. I put one on with every set of our car keys. That way when you leave the house you know you have a house key. Unless you walk out without your car keys which unfortunately has happened with certain family members. Praying for you guys. ♥️
