I got my ears pierced when I was 20 and didn’t have a good experience. I dealt with multiple infections and had issues for months. I made the decision to pierce Hailey’s ears as a baby, not for “cuteness”, but to prevent infection, and pain. If Hailey grows up and decides she doesn’t want earrings, she can take them out. If Hailey grows up and wants to experience getting her ears pierced, she can get a second piercing. There a pros and cons to waiting and piercing as a baby. After researching and taking into account my personal experience, we made the decision to pierce Hailey’s ears now. If you disagree, you’re allowed to. I respect everyone’s decision and believe each parent is responsible for that decision. There are a lot of things we may give our children that they never “consent” for (shots, medicine, food, clothes, bracelets, sunglasses, hats, etc…) What you do or give your children is up to you. We’re raising Hailey the best we can and we love her more than anything! - Katie ❤

I had my daughter’s ears pierced at 6 months and never regretted a second. She did fabulous and 29 years later has never had a problem. She never played or messed with them like some children do! You are the parents!!!

I believe you made the right choice. I had mine done at the mall multiple times and with so many infections and pain never had success. When I was 45 I got them done at a tattoo shop and best decision ever!! Not near and pain, so quick and no infections! Success and i now love wearing earrings! ❤

She looks so sweet and the color of the earrings is so pretty. I live here in Arizona and I remember I got my ears pierced at 8 years old and they were always infected, it was awful but a kind neighbor told my mother to always use sensitive earrings made of of real gold or silver. The neighbor was from Mexico and she had all her daughter's ears pierced when they were babies. She went down to Mexico and bought be some gold earrings and my ears never got infected again.

The earnings you picked out are adorable. That place sounds amazing. My sister was going to wait until her daughter' was 5 to get her ears pierced. When my niece was 3, my sister walked into her bathroom, her daughter was trying to put an earring in her ear. My sister took her a couple of days later. She liked them so much that down the road, she went back for a second hole.

We go to Ocean City too!! It’s our favorite place to go. I’m sorry it was cold. We live in Pennsylvania and it’s going to 90 degrees today, which is like July temperatures! Blessings to you guys! ❤

I had to take 2 of my nieces to have there’s pierced when they were babies while there moms ran to the other end of the mall cause they didn’t want to hear them cry. The best thing to do is keep those same earrings in for like a year and you won’t have problems w/infection. At least that’s what they both did. People are going to complain no matter what you do. I was 9 or 10 when I first got mine done. With my daughter, she was 4 or 5. You are the parents and do what you think is best for her. You’re great parents so don’t let the negative comments get to you!

Be glad you did her ears now! I was one of those parents who wanted to wait till my daughter was older. I should have waited a little longer!! She was about 3 or 4 and the turning and cleaning were a fight which caused redness and soreness!! We took them out and waited till she could take care of them herself. She did great when she was ready with no problems. My granddaughter was 4 when she got her's pierced and now she's 5! No problems. You have an adorable little girl!! Also!!! I was 30 years old when I got mine pierced! They did not work out--took them out after a few days and never tried again!!!

I grew up in a strict family and after moving out and away I finally made a decision and got my ears pierced and I am 28 the first time I had some issues regarding my time getting them done and I had to take then out and waited until I was ready again and then I got them to repierced and so far no issues..

Bottom line, it’s your child and your decision. My Mom taught me this if you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything at all! We as a society need to get back to following that rule. Hailey is beautiful and her earrings are adorable.
