My Colorado Trail thru-hike is coming up so soon! During my Appalachian Trail thru-hike, I did not use resupply boxes; I simply got my foods and anything I needed in trail towns. However, I've heard some of the smaller towns on the CT don't have great resupply options and can be quite expensive, so at the suggestion of my friend Pika who has hiked the CT, I am sending a few boxes to trail towns. In this video, I talk you through here I'm sending the boxes and what I'm including. I forgot to mention this, but I'm also going to include some multivitamins and iron pills to these boxes.
Update: I’m be sending a box to the Twin Lakes General Store, the Lake City Post Office, and the Avon Hotel in Silverton.
Additional update post-trail: if I were to hike the CT again, I would NOT send a resupply box to Lake City. They are very hiker-friendly there and you could easily get everything you need in town!
