I am neither an apprentice nor someone who doesn’t know any better. I actually love Packout and had a lot of their boxes. Never had any issues with them. But, I also have a lot of Flex tools and accessories, that’s why I sold all of my Packouts to buy Stack Packs. They just work better and more seamlessly with the tools I have. Even though it works better for me, there are some things that I still like more on the Packout system.

So I have over 20 pieces of PACKOUT so I decided no Stack Pack for me but when I saw the Stack Pack last year I had to get it. The cool effect got me. There's no real difference to me when compared however FLEX is the true only PACKOUT competition and the boys in red don't like it. In all honesty FLEX is more solidly built but neither storage will break so warranty is neither here or there. For me the pieces that FLEX made is the one I need the least. FLEX should make a one, two and 3 drawer and all should be integrated with wheels. I am going to make a cross over so I can use FLEX on the Milwaukee trolley. I am super invested in FLEX tools but no so much in Stack Pack yet I just don't think FLEX intended to convert PACKOUT crowd.

@@rickyperkins232 I had 17 Packout boxes when I made the switch. Surprisingly, Iwas able to fit everything I had in the 17 Packout boxes in 10 Stack Pack boxes.

@@rickyperkins232 there’s definitely more room in the organizer bins for all of the different screws and other fasteners I use. I took advantage of the sale for a couple more organizers, but the rest of them was before they went on sale. I did get my first 3 box system on a promotion, I think 40% off when they were first released.

These rolling boxes need a handle in the middle like Dewalt has. Lifting that heavy box in the van or truck is just back injury waiting to happen. We don’t need more heavy duty boxes, we need practical boxes. I have flex, Milwaukee and Dewalt. Flex and Milwaukee are very heavy compared to Dewalt. Dewalt rolling box has more room and much lighter.

I just came across your guys channel, I understand that you guys are very invested into Milwaukee but that doesn't mean that a new cordless company cannot compete with or beat the top dog. I work in the trades and for years Milwaukee was just out of my price range. But in the spring of 2021 all these new tools came out from a different company and were beating Milwaukee straight up tool by tool. And they offered a lifetime warranty, so I was ready and invested completely and use them everyday. Amazingly strong tools and their batteries are the best on the market by FAR. Work side by side with guys everyday with Milwaukee and they're impressed with flex also. The only breakdown is when they're invested already there is no chance of switching to new platforms, but they're by no means being HATERS like u guys are in this video. Flex isn't leaving lowes not bankrupt, good luck with your garage full of unused tools and boxes. 😉

I think Either Flex or a mod maker should come out with the front casters like the Packout caster mod. I am making my own using workbench lifting casters.

Chervon is the maker of the flex system and have been around since the 1922 and it is a German company. In 1953 they made the first handheld flexible shaft angle grinder and they was acquired by Chervon in 2013. The handle locks on the stack pack is green in color. I have several stack pack rollers and boxes and I also have pack out and DeWalt tough systems. I think they all are great boxes and I haven’t had any issues with either of them and they actually get used on job sites all over the US. They get more miles on them in a week maybe more than any other boxes I have. The boxes are really tough and durable. Do a side by side comparison of the sides of the boxes with the lids fully open and watch and see how much either boxes actually flex. I can tell you that the stack pack boxes doesn’t have much or any at all flexing on the walls of there boxes. So all in all it’s just whatever name you want to see behind you while your wheeling it on and off a job, that’s it.

It is cool that bit boxes clip to the inside of the Flex lid. I would like to see more mods for Packout, or Flex, to mount wrench racks, screwdriver racks, and so on to the underside of the lid.

I started out with the Rigid system… but to Packout Princess’s point, once I made enough money, I bought HEAVILY into Milwaukee Packout. If I had to do it all over again, I’d still go with the Packout system; who else has the variety of units to choose from and can also support small businesses with the mods to make these organizers customized to your own specs. As they say, imitation is the highest form of flattery and Flex is just a little too late to the game as I see it.

FLEX is a little too late for you but not for the the apprentices so good for FLEX and good for the Apprentices. Btw Ridgid doesn't compare to FLEX or PACKOUT.

Your not even biased to the pack out. I think it’s funny that the flex box comes factory with a feature that the pack out doesn’t but because u can mod it yourself and u call it better lol. What I’m seeing is the flex box is clearly the better box right off the shelf

One of the clips to remove the handle on the FLEX rolling box already broke. It’s a matter of time before the other breaks. It’s too low and isn’t holding up over rough terrain. Construction sites are uneven and full of rocks and other debris.

The only people that say it’s not equal is the Mod community. That fact that you try to call them apprentice tools or cheaper baffles me. 2nd Packout mod guy I seen slighting Flex. 3D printed quality is not the same as well. Plus I can get the accessories on sale locally for $6.98 right now. $12 for the rails. Most the people in the Flex group have come from Milwaukee and DeWalt and have nothing but good things to say!

I am seeing Flex on sale everywhere. A point of view I have about this is 2 things. One, if the rumors are true and Lowes is kicking them out, they're trying to get those units out and make room for other things. However, I don't see the 3 piece stack kits on sale. they're still $299 in all the stores I've seen, so this leads me to the second point is that they're putting them on sale so they can infiltrate the market. If customers buy in at the lower price point, then it gets them tied to that system becuse they now have those units. Another thing I keep questioning myself with is, At this price point, I don't think they can compete with Packout head to head, meaning, if these were at Home Depot, you can't realistically go with the Stack Pack unless you either hate Milwaukee, hate the color red, or you just hate yourself because the amount of options they have in terms of sku's that packout has and tools that work with the system. So head to head, they lose.

Heavier is not better. When you stack multiple boxes filled with tools and have to drag it along uneven construction sites, I don’t want any additional weight. The other issue with the FLEX is I have to pull out the entire stack to get to the latches. The packout has the release button on the front. In tight spaces like my van, this makes a big difference.

@@iamswright1853 well PACKOUT is for you, Stack Pack is for me and DeWalt is for the next guy but if you have a problem with weight buy Mafell systainers or Festool Systainers. There is a market place for weight savings, don't complain. I bet the Mafell and Festool or even Mikita Systainers are 10 times less weight.

Packout Princess. Here's a mod that may sell well. How about a track saw rail holder that would hold two rails and hook to the side of the rolling cart. It would need to have some sort of foam insert on the bottom to protect the rails. Can it be done?

The only thing that kills me about the Packout is the price. I work in service and love having my items fully organized and I do love the Packout cases but can not justify the price to outfit my entire van in Packout cases and I truly wish there were more internal storage bins and bin configurations available

Flex will not be able to even compare to milwaukee until it has an open top crate, and a drawer unit. I have all the flex stack pack, ridgid, tough system 1.0 and 2.0, tstak/versastack, ryobi link, systainers and packout. I can't even say nice try to flex. flex did in my opinion the bare minimum. At best I would compare flex to ridgid id take ridgid 2.0 over stack pack because of the wall hanging system. Tough system wins because of their wall racking system drawers and open crate and now their charging boxes.

I love milwaukee tools but u guys are hating on flex big time. They are not going out of lowes nor shutting down matter of fact they are taking preorders on tools coming out in april at lowes. Also u know damn well everything is standard 5 year warranty and lifetime warranty at the moment including the stack pack, batteries, chargers , tools everything is lifetime warranty. And incase u didnt know flex invented the angle grinder so thats like saying milwaukee copied them. I prefer packout but i also dont buy my tools based on who has the better storage system lol. Some of the tools that flex has out are just better and some are better on milwaukee. For example the 6.5 circ saw and 7 1/4 flex circular saw are light years better then my milwaukee circ saws. And flex is not a new company lol. Just cuz u love a brand dont mean that u should hate on other brands that make some better tools. I would say 60% of my tools are milwaukee so i dont hate. I like watching your videos but these last episodes are just hate and spreading bs lies and make u look paid off

Well said. I own a majority of packout and Milwaukee tools but also own the Flex Stack Pack and Drill and Impact driver. Both are awesome products but you can't hate on one company for putting a product out similar to others. In my opinion they copied off of Milwaukee and Dewalt but don't hate on companies that try to improve on something tried and true.

The whole mod community hates Flex! I have both. I’m transitioning to Flex and no Packout. I know the North American sales rep. They have 40 more sku #’s coming. 2 band saws, 3 compact drills, sander, router, 4 port charger and more coming in April.

@@JohnnyUmphress thats not the hate part, the hate is implying that flex is shutting down and that the warranties are less when he knows they are minimum 5 year warranty and lifetime warranty at the moment with anything flex. I just feel like that's irresponsible to say . Again, it's OK to be brand loyal as I love Milwaukee also, but don't just spread bad rumors.

How come? Stores are almost empty after being flooded with Stack Packs. Join the Flex community before you speak on it. Tools and boxes being bought daily. Used and abused on sites! New tools just announce with more to come.
