The PWR Professional Standards Committee is comprised of volunteer members who have been specially trained in listening to the Complainants and Respondents regarding an Ethics or Arbitration case that has been filed and making a decision on that case.
Recognizing that many members have never participated in an actual hearing, the Committee Members have created an Ethics and Arbitration “Mock” Hearing to give you a better idea of what actually happens at these hearings.
In the Arbitration Mock Hearing, the Complaint will present a case of Procuring Cause against another member.
A big thanks to our terrific “actors”. As, always, you can contact the Professional Standards Department at PWR for any assistance you may need in filing or responding to a complaint.

One crucial point that was over looked is the original buyer still owned part of the LLC that ended up buying the property. An award based off his percentage in the company should have been paid to the original realtor.

At times it appeared that the Respondent was asking leading questions of its own witness - is that permissible generally in your jurisdiction, or if not, is it the case that the rules of evidence are modified by the applicable arbitration rules? In the UK, leading questions are not permitted in examination-in-chief, although they are permitted in cross-examination.

As a general rule, there should be no leading questions by the panel or any of the parties.

@@PacWestRealtors The rules of evidence (U.S.) generally do not apply to arbitration, thus there is a lot of leeway as to how questions are presented.

Wait you're talking about how fair and unbiased the proceedings should be but then Mr. Moderator and panel members start mocking and making fun of the respondent's attorney? You should have cut that out of the video.
