Indeed to the yes thank you. All my aunts and uncles were born in London my folks have gone in the USA but some as long as I knew when Mommy and Daddy were I also knew who the princess was and then the queen in other words she's been family for all my life and it's a shame that somebody that you love so much you never got to hug.

I too know nothing about Paddington bear. Could anyone tell me where the bear came from and the story why it would be in London? I have watched the Queen and bear clip many times and they were absolutely adorable. Can’t believe the Queen has gone.

@@wendyhong8528 Paddington is a little bear from deepest darkest Peru. When his adopted parent bears died he travelled to London and was lost and alone in Paddington Station. He was found by the Brown family, who tnamed him after the station and took him home to live with them. Paddington was created by the author Michael Bond and his many books were turned into a children's animation series and later 2 films. Paddington is very loved by children in the UK because he is honest, polite and innocent and always gets into trouble.

KZfaq has many Paddington Bear stories. They are very suitable for children and young-at-heart adults. We miss the Queen here but the transition to King Charles has been smooth and he's the only other person who knows what the jobs about.

The British Army Royal Guards Bearskin Fur Caps are made from the Canadian Grizzly Bears.

The Main Reason for why the Queen's Guards wear the Bearskin Caps is from The Battle of Waterloo in 1815. Where the 1st Foot Guards with the Shako Helmets, successfully defeated against the French Napoleonic Imperial Guards. And as they murdered them, as they killed them, they actually then stole the bearskin caps. We want to use your bearskins for ourselves! You bad Brits! That's Stealing!

Jools Harmes Some are still made from bearskin, but some are now made of faux fur I think.

@@BerserkGoblin They tried replacing them with faux fur, but it didn't work out, and they went weird in the rain. They are still made from real Canadian Black Bear. However, each one is a treasured heirloom in its own right so new ones are rarely made.

This mostly Brit-American with also Scottish/Irish lineage on my maternal side here in Yankee New England since the early 1700s bought a Paddington Bear for my three daughter's nursery when they were little!
