You do realise that Islam, Charles and many others at the top of the lightweight division get far heavier out of camp than Paddy, his cheeks get big so people think he's fat but he never gets a belly. They all lose fat during the fight camp and cut roughly the same water weight on the few days before the fight.

⁠⁠@@rjim1it’s about the long term effects not the short term. Rumble Johnson died because of the strain he put on himself through his career trying to make weight. It’s extremely dangerous no matter who cuts weight. Khabib, Charles will have health problems. I assume khabib stopped because of the weight cuts (also his father but you can tell the weight cuts were literally killing him internally)

@@TheBman57 I get it, believe me! All I'm saying is that the amount he's been cutting is comparable to most of the division. It was only the one time when he got up to 209lb and that was an anomaly. He entered this latest camp very light and you could see that he was far more muscular this fight because he was able to put effort into S&C rather than just weight loss during the camp and he claims he will continue the healthier plan going forward. Time will tell...

Fair pie,..erm play to paddy tho cos it’s bloody hard to lose weight. Especially for me. Crumbling spine and hernias everywhere. But I know paddy loves his kebabs. But he looks bang on now. And he’s my favourite fighter cos he’s such a real guy. No hidden agendas. Wysiwyg. PADDY POWER. 💪💪👊👊

Yes, but they get paid hard cash to save the full episodes for Spotify. And that lets them talk about anything and have any guest without worrying about demonetisation. These clips send people over to Spotify, Spotify pays them regularly and they get to have people like Danny D on. It's not that big of a deal, I went to watch this full episode on Spotify when I saw this clip. I'm not a Spotify simp or anything but it's a solid business model and it keeps them in the black.

@@marcusmclean3842 The most famous British male adult film star. They had him on a few years ago and he went into great detail about his life in the industry. Great episode but no way that could even be on KZfaq without age restriction and full demonetisation. They have also had female adult stars before. What I'm getting at is the unfiltered and uncut nature of this podcast would be in jeopardy without the Spotify exclusively deal. As if they had to made due with regular Google ad revenue and independent sponsorship deals, they would have to avoid guests and topics that could make a video perform bad on KZfaq. Some sponsors might drop them if a video they sponsored got age restricted or taken down, maybe even demand a refund and at the very least renegotiate the sponsorship amount. The fact of the matter is, creators need reliable sources of income in order to have the balls to do and say what they want. That's why all the spiciest podcasts have Spotify deals. (Or deals with other sites. Some more independent spicy podcasts like Unsubscribe use patreon.)

@@TheInnerSession athletes are twice more likely to die of heart disease than the average person. Also Massive strenuous weight loss makes someone more likely to contract a heart disease. Paddy’s mix of eating shit in offseason and then losing all of that in a short amount of time in a few months is not healthy. Just because he looks good doesn’t mean he won’t have problems with his heart, or brain in the future.
