I scratched out the numerals with a fine needle and filled it with a silverish car paint. Looks great and damn close to the real deal. Gotten many compliments for it.

Man, I was about to have a fit! I ordered a 20MM "007" band from Pagani, and had the Hulk I planned to put it on in my Amazon shopping cart. I don't know what lead me to look, but the specs on the HULK I was about to buy said the band was 21MM. It was too late to stop the 20mm band order from Pagani. Oh, I was pissed. So I started looking around for another SUB to buy instead, that would fit the band I want (and ordered already). That's when I came across ANOTHER Pagani hulk...with a 40mm case, and a 20mm band size. I was confused, but it solved my problem, so I changed out my order. I did not understand it, but I was just happy that I could still get a Pagani for my sub. Then I started searching youtube, to find out why one Pagani Hulk on amazon was 43/21...while this other one was 40/20. That's what lead me here, and you explained the redesign. Now it makes sense! Turns out the model number for the old 43 is 1639, and the model number for the new 40 is 1661. Just a heads up, as I see you made this video 4 months ago, but the one I bought today (almost April, 21) does NOT say "Explorer" on it. Rolex' lawyers must have given them a call...haha! That didn't make sense anyway, as this is a sub copy and not an explorer copy but...hell...what do I know? ANYWAY, I was thinking 43 was going to be too big to begin with, as I also have a 7.25 inch wrist. Seeing yours on your hand clears that up too...40 is the perfect size! I am REALLY glad I caught that while it was still in my cart! Good stuff, and thanks man!

Nah rolex had nothing to do it. People have asked pagani to remove the explorer text from the dial as it had too much text. I waited months for them to remove it, now I have the pagani "kermit" & "cookie monster", both whitout explorer text.

hey man, sorry for the late response...got lost somehow. but yeah, the "explorer" removal was after I got this watch...it's a good way to know you are getting the latest watch because pagani DOES have a 1661 with an older case and 60 click bezel. (very confusing). But you got the new one...hope your's as as nice as mine was. Glad I could be of some help!

I ordered 2 Starbucks and black products. I hope QC is better than 2 years ago. San Martin is of good quality, but the price is high for a Chinese watch, so I am reluctant to buy it. If you pay a little more money at San Martin, it is the price to buy a top-notch replica watch, so I think Pagani Design products are the upper limit for Chinese watches.

Nice Hulk homage, I wish they offered the black version with full brushed bracelet like this green one instead of the high polished center links.

Yeah, I'm not sure what they are thinking. Their models are confusing because the black one isn't updated like this one. I think it's a tad thicker and only a 60 -click bezel. Just make it already!

Black version’s dial is not piano black glossy dial like real rolex it has sunburst black dial because of this ım going to buy green one because the real one also have sunburst dial

FYI there are 3 micro adjustments inside the clasp where the extension is. You push the spring pin and adjust the extension up or down. I've found this gives me the perfect fit. Notice there are small circular divots above the extension on the inside of the clasp!

I apologize, I didn't notice. They should've just included a glide lock type adjust or an actual micro adjust, but it's nice to have so many features on the clasp for such a low price. I like the way the top portion is a lever, where other brands have the look of the Rolex but just use a pressed clasp.

Excellent review. I have the 43mm hulk and a 40mm Pagani design GMT. The loom on the 43 is ok but the loom on the GMT is uneven and spotty. Also it looks like the case of the GMT is the same as your P.D.40mm

man before i had 43mm hulk, now i bought 40mm hulk but i guess 43mm is better quality and also more darker than 40mm :(

It's "good lume" away fromcoming close to the san martins. They need some bracelet work, but yeah, at sub $70 it's too good to pass up IMO

Mine doesn’t say explorer on the dial and I think pagani design are regulating their movements cause I’ve been wearing mine for 2 weeks now and accuracy is impressive on par with my steinhart :)

in the 2021 pagani collection, the bracelet isn't all brushed but polished, i will prefer full brushed as the one in this video

I think it depends on which one you go for. I believe you can always request a fully brushed bracelet if that is what you prefer

Looks really solid! Wish I was into green watches cause this one looks great! Haha. Wish mine had gotten the 120 click upgraded bezel, cause that action is SMOOOOOTH! 👌🏼

Yeah, the bezel is pretty fantastic....not quite V1 San martin, but very close. I wear this like once a week for those rare occasions I can pull off a green watch.

@@EscapeWheel Merry Christmas, over the last two weeks , I have ordered a Loreo Blue subbie 40mm watch and the hulk 40mm Pagani, will see how each compares. I see your rubber strap link above what thickness did you get? as that looks like a good addition to have .

@@neilwhite8131 thickness? You mean width? 20mm for pretty much any 40mm sub homage. Between the loreo and pagani, they are quite different. The loreo is more of a 90's sub case and bezel while the Pagani is the newer one....pagani will wear larger and overall, should be nicer....but it may not be your fav. Just a heads up, I've seen a few different people complain about the legitimacy of Loreos water resistance rating. But enjoy the watches!

I think as long as you get one WITHOUT "Explorer" on the dial it should be the new case and bezel. Much appreciated with the likes and click and whatnot. Really helps out the channel. As for the living, I'd love to check one out but a dress watch isn't something I can really use....so unless they send me one, I wouldn't expect one for a while. I need to grow a little bigger before I can start buying watches I can't use daily 😂

Hi Just got my PD-1661, after unboxing i saw that the movement isn’t working. I taught that it was not enough winded while it was delivered. But after many shakes and even more manual winding, the watch didn’t started. I was able to change the time, but just don’t start. The seconds hand is not moving. When i hand wind it sounds like it’s winding, but it does just not work. Can you please give me a solution? I am pretty desperate… thank you very very much.

Give the watch a smack, dial side down, onto the palm of your hand. Sometimes the hairspring gets stuck on the NH35 and this unjams it. Had a similar problem in the past and this fixed it and never had an issue. If that doesn't work, look into a return

I don't like the Biltse dial, it destroys the entire watch, the color must be exactly the same as the bezel

Physically I think they are very similar. I have seen an all black 1661 but it's still the old 60-click one. Only sign it's the new one would be: it seems they are producing it without "explorer" on the dial. Also, a fully brushed bracelet, but that can be hard to see in photos. And it may be branded Pagrne....but again, hard to see because of the font they chose.

Good question. I'm going to say No. I have 7.25" wrists....I have it on the smallest Micro-adjust spot and only have 2 links left to remove which is less than 1" of links. it's going to wear a bit lose on you for sure.
