The story is really inspiring! One more thing to consider would be the starting salary which would not be the same for everyone to afford paying that huge amount in a year.

Hey Parth, i appreciate the efforts you make to bring such inspiring stories to us students. Cause the fear of debt is honestly very real. Cause the risk is not solely yours, your parents will be affected too depending on the outcome of your study here. For some families its their first time taking an education loan of such high amount so it does play an important role in a students life and his/her choices.

Thanks for the much-needed insight Parth, these interviews help out a lot as I am currently in a phase where I have to decide if I really should stick with Civil or get into Tech. Finished my undergraduate degree in Civil July 2023 and applied for Melbourne Australia Structural Engineerig Masters for Sem 1 (Feb) thinking of applying to Fall US universities as well. Would you recommend going to the US or Australia for Civil Structural Engineering? What are your thoughts on salary differences between non-tech and tech-based jobs should civil engineers just transition to tech jobs in current market?
