I agree I think the writers made a stupid decision in not bringing him around more. They could have had at least had her going to see him off screen. Or even had it show that they keep in touch.

Laura Schoenborn Paige had abandonment issues how the writers took the show was perfect having seen how some adoptive kids feel paiges feelings are justified

Jaiden Lawrence I know Paige had abandonment issues. And I'm not saying they were not justified. She was dropped off at a church, and given up by the two people that love her the most in the world. However, there was room for the show to explore them and help her work through it. That’s why I wish Sam came around more. Being 1/2 of the people that gave her up at Birth, he could have helped her work through those abandonment issues. Instead they touched on it in season 5 but never did anything to help her work through them. Even sending her back in time to when she was born, it could have given her a bit more understanding of what went on in that time. They could have shown her the letters Patty wrote to Sam, or even found a baby picture they took with Paige before dropiing her off. There was so much they could have done with Paige and Sam's storyline, and they did nothing with it until season 8 when Sam helped Paige see how strong the whitelighter side of her is.

Yeah I mean they had to do that honestly if Shannen was still in the show Sam would have still been dead they had to do something to get Sam back to reunite with Paige it’s a beautiful thing

That would have been a great spin off, prequel instead of the garbage they did for a revival. And I think Piper and Leo are meant to be a parallel to Sam and Patty.

Alexa Harrison he did come back few times after that. I remember The lost picture show episode.

David Martin He only appears in the show a total of 3 times. Twice with Paige and then in the comics once. Paige has met Victor on screen more times than Sam lol I would've just loved a better bond or relationship. Like he could've taught her a lot and I feel it would've made for some good episodes.

BlackGirlMarvel I totally agree. Him only having an episode with Paige twice was a really bad move. They could have developed a strong bond. And could have learned a lot from each other. And honestly that relationship could have made each other stronger. In the Lost Picture Show he did help her to embrace her Whitelighter instincts, when he was captured by the demon forcing Paige to acknowledge the love she does feel for him, and the fact that he is in fact her father.

I would have put him in Carpe Demon in Season 7 to reconnect her with the destiny and ethics of whitelighter status in the immediate wake of Kyle becoming one despite all his misdeeds, and in Season 6 I would have brought him back in A Wrong Day's Journey into Right as a way for Paige to explore her magical morality in the immediate wake of Phoebe being stripped of her active powers for selfishness. Would have been a better storyline than that weird fake-man-summoning plot. (Later seasons of the show don't get much right when it comes to the sisters' lovelives: Henry is the only love interest any of the sisters have after Season 4 Cole who isn't in some way toxic. Ironic that someone who had became the Source should be held up as a shining example of healthy boyfriend material. Shame he was so toxic in Season 5. I guess the demonic powers screwed him up.)

LloydSkyLion I think the only way to explain this is that Paige is a first generation charmed one. Her biological mother Patty and her biological father Sam were both magical but they were average. Being a charmed one is where the great power came along but that means she is a great witch with her sisters. Now Wyatt and Chris have other abilities because they are second generation charmed witches meaning they have both the great charmed abilities but also whitelighter abilities from their father Leo. When it comes to them being half-witch/half-whitelighter you have to take into account that they aren’t just any witches they are the offspring of one of the most powerful witches so it makes more sense you identify them as half-whitelighter/half-charmed. I think it's because Paige, not being an original Charmed One, had her charmed power filtered through her pre-existing whitelighter powers, whereas Piper's kids got both their witch and whitelighter powers at the same time. If Prue had survived, Paige would either never have been a witch, or would have developed powers that were not inherently charmed powers. But whitelighter was always part of who she was.

Tu patrón he proved himself to the Elders and they made him a whitelighter again and he couldn't handle it once he found out that Paige found her sisters and her destiny cause he didn't want her to end up like Patty.

@BlackGirlMarvel I thing he stated he lost another charge in the episode. He was going to say “i never got over losing your mother” before Piper mentioned his daughter. It startled him when she said it, b/c he had no idea she even knew about Paige. I think it was the compounding guilt of giving Paige up, losing Patty, and losing the other charge that made him fall off the radar.
