In this real time paint along class you will learn to paint a hummingbird. I will be painting in acrylic, but you can follow along in oil as well.Join me for the premiere of this class. I will live be in the chat box to answer your questions.
1) 16" x 12" canvas or a wooden palette of your choice
2) Titanium White, Alizarin Crimson, Paynes Grey, Burnt Umber, Burnt Sienna, Dioxazine Purple, Phatlo Green, Pthalo Blue
3) Fineliners
4) Soft Filbert brushes (1cm, 1.5cm & 2cm)

How do you get your acrylic paint to go on so smoothly and flow. Annette

There are three things that you can do. The first is to pick up enough paint on the brush. If there is too little paint it can't spread. The second is to add water to the paint. I do this on the palette to adjust the paint's consistency. The thinner the paint, the more the paint will flow off the brush. When the paint is thin you will also find that if you use a softer brush, like a rigger or fine liner, the paint will flow off of it better than a hard bristle brush. I hope that helps Annette.
