Haha I have the same thoughts every time i paint a car before applying clear, love the matte look. In fact stay tuned for a video coming soon, i loved the thought of having a matte paint job like the oem bmw and mercedes paint jobs that i decided to paint complete my daily driver 😬🙌🏻😁

Thanks Steve, the aerosol was a Wax&grease remover, and I usually start at the farthest edge and work my way around the car. In this case if i started at the top of the door i would be near the hood before the bottom of the door would be cleared and then i would have to return back to the hood and continue to the other side, but from the bottom of the door i work my way up, across the hood and to the other fender always keeping my edge wet and going 👊🏻😁👍🏻

I knew that there was a very clever and logical reason for this. Thank again.

@@LncPainter it was just the translation from the German „ tief schwarz“ - let’s say - deep black 😃 I use transparent base coat on the parts I blend in but just light colors , like silver , white etc… to avoid these overspray and to get a perfect transition 👍👍😎

Yea I actually noticed that when i searched the web, and on the window sticker it said Jet Black as well. Very interesting why the color code says otherwise 🎨

After you apply first coat of clear, you let it flash off for about 10min before applying the second and final coat! 😁👍🏻

As needed, usually every couple weeks.

If your car is already dark you can just use basecoat, if its a lighter color its better to use a dark gray sealer and then a basecoat for better coverage.

Car is dark grey primer. As a first basecoat schould I use at first any black base or directly C9X base ? To unify the surfce. Cause I can't to buy sealer in EU. Thank you much.

@@petman9588 no need to use a black basecoat first! Your car already has proper undercoat, so just go straight with the c9x basecoat and clearcoat. 😁👍🏻

@@LncPainter I have a black mercedes and I'm getting an OEM body kit installed for the bumpers. Do I have to take my car to the shop for them to "paint match" or can they just use the factory code and I only take the bumper separately to get painted? The car is 25 years old but in mint condition and original paint

@@bequietandrive222 yea, even tho its original color there are sometimes many variants. This way they can choose the closest one ☝🏼
