I am.. haha ;) if people are interested you can find the escoda Perlas individually through plaza arts based in Nashville or they come in sets through Jackson’s (in) or fine art store (Rochester) :) Beautiful stunning work. It was so cool to see it come together. I can’t see it without a drawing first. It’s cool to see it take form!

Jared Loves to Draw It was because of you I bought my new Escoda Travel brush lol.. I found the Sable one at Jerry's Artarama at a reasonable price. I love your channel as well as this one. It's pretty rad to see that my favorite artists watch each other. Blessings to you both.

Really nice work! I always know I should be more adventurous with my colors to get more dimension or at the very least force myself to glaze more to fix things, but I never do. All those bright blues in the shadows really inspired me to get out of my comfort zone more. I think tomorrow I'm going to try to paint something with obnoxiously bright colors and then glaze over everything to tone it down, but my initial goal will be to make my eyes bleed from the saturation. I love when art videos from amazing artists like you inspire me to actually act on the knowledge I have rather than ignore it and then wonder why my subjects are so flat. Thank you for sharing, you remind me of like the dad of watercoloring.

Simon Reese "The Dad of Watercoloring". Ha, ha, ha!!!!! I guess I'll take it. Now, Son, you make sure you hit those colors hard and I wanna see lots of eye-bleeding before dinner time. Hilarious. I hope your paintings go well! Thanks for watching!

I just found this video and I love your sense of humour, especially when you were saying what you wanted in the picture and said “I wanted the bear in there” and started laughing at yourself. @@brianashmorestudio I've got a wonky left index finger too. Nothing as glamorous as playing football. I was just dancing and it was one of those songs where everyone was supposed to throw their arms up in the air. My finger must have hit someone else's just the right way. it healed funny, had to be re-broken in surgery. Bone saws and stuff. Still have a titanium screw through the knuckle. Still didn't heal right but better than the first time.

Hi loved your painting . I may try more animals. Reminds me of the time my daughter and saw a mother Grizzly and her cub while hiking in Yosemite in April. We were taken by surprise. The blond cub climbed over a bolder and peaked at us. Then mom sauntered out and stared us down. about 50 feet away. We walked a fast as we could down the path along the lake. no cell phones then!!

Donna Birney Yikes!! Living in Montana, we hear a lot of stories about running into bears but that sounds especially nerve-wracking. Thanks for commenting!

oh my I really thought W&N had a hair dryer for art. I mean, heat guns for art are available so why not a dryer? Love the way the bear turned out. I've got some photos of a Black bear and her little cub I came across while backpacking. Glad I looked up from the trail, they were right in front of me on the path. All I could think was that I needed to take photos. The other nine in my group were still resting behind me and around the bend. So it felt like I was alone in the wilderness with the bears. It was an awesome moment and the highlight of my entire trip. Around here we have a restaurant chain called Black Bear Diner, and they've got large framed art of black bears and Grizzlies on the walls. When things reopen, I could go there to sketch one of their photos. (oh, might be copyrighted, huh?) Well, I'm not that good anyway. In the past I sketched on the back of their placemat the black bear logo and pawprint from their coffee mug and napkins

great job even with the bum finger. I hear there is a market for sausage fingers for Grizzlies. Really looks great they can be tricky to paint. I have 3 more to paint . 2 babies together and one playing with a stick. Hope it goes well. The 30/30 challange has been great. I have been helped tremendously.

The challenge helped me a lot, as well. It's funny how painting every day does help things along. I do try to keep my sausage fingers away from Grizzlies. ha, ha.

The more I watch your videos the more I giggle at your commentaries. I just about fell over when you mentioned your finger injury/why/ I just finished a recording of Elementary where the person they found dead was missing part of a digit and had an artificial one made with a thumb drive it. It was missing when they found the body. Oh well, at least you have all of yours so they wont put you on tv. Okay back to the bear and the brush, both are great. The bright red area made him look a little like he might have had a fight with the Elk but he won. Your tips while you paint are very helpful and we shouldn’t be so afraid to throw in more color like you do, it adds so much. I told a friend that I would give the challenge a week so I say done, where is my pencil. Well if I do more for the rest of the month I will be amazed, this is not fun. Art should be fun for a novice granny like me, we will let you pros continue on and we w i l l enjoy it all. Take care and I look forward to more videos, thank you.
@brianashmorestudio6 жыл бұрын
Essie Tangle Thank you, Essie! Maybe I should get that finger replaced with a thumb drive. That could be useful. 🤔 Glad you enjoyed the video. Sorry to hear you stopped the challenge! It’s definitely a different way of approaching things and it’s teaching me a lot just this past week or so. We all have something to benefit from taking on challenges. Don’t give up!

@brianashmorestudio6 жыл бұрын
Draw Paint Repeat Thanks, Steve! I can see what you mean about Solberg. I have to be careful. Mike Casper is from my town and I don't want to be doing anything that could be construed as copying his style. Solberg, as well, now that I think about it. This one just kind of ended up that way. Ha, ha.
