Aye it's qdc, I loved watching your videos as a kid and your videos inspired me to build model kits, I've done a lot of Tamiya tanks one by Trumpeter, one other by a company I don't remember and currently am doing a MiniArt interior tank kit keep doing you qdc

Mig "dark Tracks" works so well for making chips I didn't believe it the first time i tried it. Even put rust in the center of the chips

Excellent work! I doubted the result here and there ongoing in the video, but I was wrong. it turned out to be great. Really entertaining too. If QDC was your mentor, the apprentice bypassed his mentor. Pet the dog for me, I like Whippets.

Gracias por la bienvenida Sergio, Yo también soy colombiano (de Medelllín) y sí, es verdad, aquí tengo todo lo que se me ocurra al alcance lo cual es una ventaja gigante (a tus órdenes si en algo te puedo servir a este respecto). Vamos a ver como empiezo con este hobby (toda la vida he construído modelos volantes pero nunca estáticos) pues con modelistas tan expertos como tú, me siento a años luz de lograr los resultados que tengo en mi mente y sé que vá a ser un poco frustrante al comienzo...ahora estoy en la estapa de aprendizaje y consecución de herramientas. Hola, Mauricio. Muchas gracias por tu comentario. Las Model Color las diluyo con agua destilada empezando con una proporción 50:50 y luego ajusto la mezcla según el caso. ¡Saludos!

Hi there, really great work! Did you thin the satin varnish or just apply it straight out of the bottle?

Hi! And thank you 😊 I thinned it with distilled water, around 1:1 ratio, but I haven't had luck with that varnish... Sometimes it leaves an ugly whiteish/foggy and I have to apply a layer of isopropyl alcohol to make it look better. It works but it's annoying

great video as usual! very well explained! the only part that you should have spent, and should spend time showing is the painting, like what did you add to the base colors to make highlights and shadows? and how many layers did you add of them, and what order did you apply them in? (e.g. base. shadow, highlight 1 then highlight 2. etc) things like that are often over looked yet important I hope what I said makes sense.

+Hunter Craft Thank you, Hunter! I didn't mention the colors for the highlights and shadows because I didn't use any other colors. The shadows were made simply by adding less base paint in some areas, so the black primer is still visible and makes it look darker. More base paint means less visible black primer, and that's how the highlights were made. Cheers!

+bluesun 2517 Thanks! I use Model Color because they last longer than Model Air for the same price, but you have to thin them yourself. Not a big deal, though

bluesun 2517 Hi! There is a difference between Model Air and Model Colour. Apart from what Sergio said. I find the Model Air to be more rubbery and harder to chip than Model Colour which, although not so resistant as the Air, are sweeter to work with.

¡Hola! El Pledge Floor Care en el modelismo se usa como barniz brillante y para pulir partes transparentes. Además es mucho más barato que los productos especializados. ¡Saludos!

Buenas de nuevo y disculpa la pesadez.. he estado buscando para comprar una botella y he visto 2 disponibles, la que sale en el vídeo (finish) y otra también de pledge multi surface POLISH. Valdrían ambas o solo se utiliza en modelismo la finish? Gracias de nuevo!!

No hay problema. De esa marca solo se usa la que vez en el video, pero te recomiendo buscar en foros españoles para conocer la experiencia de otros modelistas de tu país. Tal vez ellos recomienden otras opciones. Saludos

I think the wooden blocks are what were called 'grousers'. These would be fitted to the tracks at intervals to increase their depth and therefore help increase traction when crossing very soft or broken up ground.

Very nice weathering and kind video, but that sand just ruins all work, its soooo overscaled compared to model, Otherwise, very well done!

Sergio Solo Mig and AK both make fine sand and pigment fixer, those are pretty realistic, Very nice and authentic looking model still !

I think all these modelling reports (apart from you there are at least half a dozen other videos showing the building of the Meng whippet tank) are not very helpful for an occasional modeller like me. The many "hobbyist's home remedies" are in summary expensive, some items are difficult to obtain and some may even impair one's helth.
