Who doesn't love painting animals and who doesn't love a playful otter? They are cheeky and playful and give us a great opportunity to try out all sorts of techniques like colour-value switching, masking, mark making, texturing etc.
In this film, I'll take you through the planning, colour choice and painting. The actual picture took 1.5-2 hours, but I have condensed it down for you. The techniques we use can be applied to any animal or wildlife art.
If you take a look at other films on my channel I have ones about colour-value switching, using cling film etc. I try to do a film each week, so if you subscribe and hit the notification bell you will be told when the next is available.
