I prefer to spray but sometimes brother you gotta brush & roll 💯 Rolling deep in paint no matter the way 👊

That's exactly right. I've got 12 years experience in painting and here is my tip; for the DIYer's, a smaller brush dosent necessarily make it easyer to cut in, So don't "DIY" just hire a pro it will save you $$$. ALSO: ((This is for wood work)) (DONT USE WATER BASED "ENAMEL") its SHIT, SHIT, SHIT. Oil based all the way from undercoat to finish coat like, high gloss, gloss, semi gloss and or satin and yes it smells a bit, but it was the best, is the best, and will always be the best!

I'm not necessarily a fan of oil base breaks down a lot quicker cracks with movement & yellows. I appreciate your opinion and for watching 🙌

Hi mate I like to use a etch primer or if it's old and lost it's sheen go straight over the a good self-priming product after a sand. Cheers legend

Hi mate, have you used any primer? Lady at bunnings told me no need if using dulux weathershield but I'm afraid won't stick to aluminium gutters. Cheers!

Yeah Weathershield is self priming but just to be safe I always still like to etch prime them

Hi great video! Tell me….can you paint vinyl soffit and facia? If yes what paint do you recommend and or prep? Buying a new house….well it’s old and has beige soffit and gutters, I don’t like it 🫤

Thank you Brenda! I would recommend using Dulux 1step prep waterbased after a wash down and two top coats of dulux weathershield. Painting is definitely one way to brighten up your new/old home. Good luck & thank you for watching 🙌

Always sand all surface before and between coats. That's most important 💯

Hello, what kind of paint can you use for painting metal gutters and the wood area since it is outside?

I would go with Dulux weathershield it will do metal gutters and timber work. Just give surfaces a light sand before coating 👍

How did u mix the paint with what? Weather in canada is harsh and we dont want to paint yearly as they chirp and fade in the near future🍁..tnx mate

Hi Josh, thanks for the tips. Just two questions pls, 1. If repainting the whole house and gutters are in good condition, is it worth spraying them? They'll be the same colour as the roof. 2. When spraying fascias and under-eaves do I have to back-roll? I saw you did in one video but not in another. They're in good condition. Cheers

Hi Andres. If the gutters are in good condition I would just leave them as is and back rolling exterior soffits is definitely not needed if there are also in good condition. Hope this helps 👍

@@paintingbyjosh great thanks, I gave both a go over the weekend and very happy with the result. Planning to spray the gutters too as we're changing the colour.
