In this video go through the steps of preparation and processes for painting up your Space Marines for Legions Imperialis! This is perfect for World Eater fans, but great for any Space Marines collector painting at this scale, regardless of legion of choice.

I cut the sprue into rows, which made it far easier to work with them and get to certain details.

If I recall from the fiction. The World Eaters Terminators were known as the Ravagers, and they went around in all red armor.

I have a Bloodangels epic army, so i shoud paint them red, but i have seen the emperors children paint sheme. The purple and white looks great.

Nicely done. I am having to tame mine to lolly sticks as I am having to airbrush mine due to legion. But damn I like the finished look of these tiny guys.

Do you follow the same recipe for the tanks and dreads as the troops? You have the best paint style that I’m looking for wanna make sure the larger models are the same paint recipe

I’m thinking salamanders but I’m gonna wait till I can look at the rules for each legion and see which one I like the best.

I was planning to chop the sprue apart so that I could handle each group "top down". Also, why don't you move your paint to the right hand side of the picture so you don't have to keep reaching across and mucking the focus up? It is worth saying; I got my box today and those things are so much smaller than you think they're going to be. You are probably being too detailed so I salute your skill and patience

Remember that painting one side then the other can potentially cause a paint line to appear as it dries. For light washes like white it is less noticeable, but be careful with darker washes and contrast paints

A great point, this is why I keep it to painting half a frame at a time, so when you paint the flip side of the frame the other side is still wet so you can connect the shade to the meeting point to avoid any tide lines and such 🤘🏻

Seeing an interesting split, 50/50, of people using Black Templar or Black Legion for the black parts. Not sure what I'll go with.

So black legion is a heavier concentration of black, black templar is slightly more translucent so you'll get a slight highlight off it. Either are great for this job 🤘🏻
