You are the most inspiring artist. I constantly review artist’s videos. I am 56 years old. I have been an artist for as long as I can remember. This Past January I decided to draw/paint every day. I agree with all you have posted! I am 60 and I feel such joy when I see Jess has a new video up. I struggle with the human form and perspective, so yesterday I decided I will do 100 drawings of humans. I did my first drawing of my granddaughter. I can't wait to see how improved I am after 100 drawings! Thanks to Jess!!

So much fun, thanks for creating such a treat for us on Halloween 🎃🦇 my favorite is a tie between the Papa Pump and the día de los muertos one. It must have been so difficult to paint these on such a bumpy surface. Oh Jess, I really needed your video today, I’ve been the whole morning (from 8 to 2) trying to paint a simple cup of coffee and I’ve failed over and over again, I feel quite defeated… but hearing your motivational words it pushes me to keep trying until I get it right!!. When you painted Papa Pumpkin, I was like, "That's my favorite!" Then you painted Mama Pumpkin and I said it again. Until every member of the family was revealed, I can't choose my favorite. They look all have unique personalities which looks cool! The sister the one who draws my attention because of the flowers 😍😍

Thank you for pointing out the importance of surface preparation in painting! Most of the paint failures we've seen, especially where cracking and detachment occurred, stemmed from either absent or inadequate primer. Whether you're painting the unspoken communication in the gaze between two elder pumpkins, or a serene field of sunflowers, if you want your work to be durable to the standards of permanent art, take the time to seal and prime!

What do you carry daily? Like every day, do you carry anything to draw with in case you get caught out and have time? And favorite pumpkin? Oh my... they are all so amazing... probably Papa Pumpkin!!
