Have the light one not the dark really enjoying them

I have to be honest, I haven't tried the Arrtx ones but I have tried the Decobrush acrylic markers from Karin which are pretty much identical (as in acrylic ink rather than acrylic paint) other than they're not dual ended. Personally I found them a little difficult to decide on. I love the brush tip, being able to get the tiny details but also easily filling a fairly large space without it getting streaky is a huge plus when it comes to markers (for me mainly but I know it's definitely something that others consider a good point). I love the fact that they don't do that "eat the paper" thing as much as acrylic paint markers do, although they do still do it in places where you go over the same spot a lot. However, I really don't like the fact that they claim to be opaque like paint markers when they're not totally opaque. If you compare them to the opacity of Poscas for example, when you draw a white line over a dark colour with those, the white pretty much covers the darker colour. You can still blend colours while they are wet but if you allow them to dry the white/pale colours are actually opaque over the black/dark colours which is one of the beauty's of acrylic paint. Because the opacity isn't as good, with the Decobrush style acrylic ink markers you do end up going back over lighter parts repeatedly which then increases the liklihood of the "eating the paper" issue so it kind of negates that whole positive aspect. Overall I just can't decide that they are worth the price enough when really you could either water down acrylic paint, use acrylic ink from a bottle or use alcohol markers if the opacity thing isn't very important to your piece. It's a shame though. If they could get the opacity of Poscas with the non-paper-eating capacity of the acrylic ink markers I'd literally be throwing money at them! 😂 😂 Out of interest, did you test them on any other surface, eg wood? How did they fare on that?

I wanted to ask you what type of paper is in that sketchbook,textured or smooth? They don’t work the same on every paper, on your paper they were gliding very easily. Thank you. 😊

Watching this makes me sad. I ordered a set of these exact Arrtx paint markers, and it came dried out and almost unusable. Every one of the brush tips won't work. No matter what I try, the paint won't come out. Buyer beware, I guess!
