Pakhtun`s Society Beautiful Custom Ashar ( mowing the lawn)
Asher is a ritual in which one person from each household in a village participates. The Asher is organized for the collective work of the village as well as for the personal work of the people, which is not easy to do individually. One of the special features of this custom is that these works are done free of charge. Performed voluntarily.
Most of the Ashers are engaged in mowing the lawn, building a new house from the demolition of an old house, filling the roof of a house under construction, or cutting wood to make a wedding feast at someone's house in the village.
There is no specific number of people participating in the Asher, but the number depends on the nature of the work. Sometimes only one person from the neighborhood is invited to the Asher and he works all day. This number can range from 20 to 100 or more if Ashers are used to mow the lawn.
