As per latest publications dated 23 March 2024 from Election Commission of India, and subsequent notifications, there are 8 national parties, 57 state parties, and 2,764 unrecognised parties. All registered parties contesting elections need to choose a symbol from a list of available symbols offered by the ECI.

there is no rule as such that how many candidates can stand in election in india. India follows a multi party system rather than biparty system like in UK, or USA.

Usne 2 baat batana bhul gaya. Jab koi EVM me button dabata hai, Tab Beep ka sound aata hai (jisse oficials ko pata chal jata hai ki vote ho gaya), aur fir EVM 1min ke liye Lock ho jata hai. 1min tak fir se vote nahi par sakta. That is why wo multiple times button bada nahi sakta. (Daba sakta hai but 1 min extra waha khada rahna pade ga, but agar aap aisa karte ho to aap pe shak ho jae ga, aur aap arrest ho jao ge). 2nd, Wo VVPAD machine me ek paper slip dikhta hai (wo bas ek backup ke liye hota hai). Aur wo Slip pe jo ink rahata hai, wo kuch time ke liye hi dikhta hai, Fir wo invisible ho jata hai. Aur bus UV light ke niche hi uska ink dikhta hai. So agar, koi VVPAD me ched chaad karne ki kosis kare ga, to usko normal light me sabhi slips blank hi dikhe ge.

Multiple times button nahi daba sakte ho.. Bahar se polling officer button dabata hai tabhi andar connection aata hai.. Isiliye booth hack kar le tabhi koi multiple votes kar sakta hai

Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, 1/2 Maharashtra, Chattisgarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand me voting Complete ho chuki hai. Aabhi tak 4 phase ki Voting ho chuki hai. Aur 3 phase ki Voting bhaki hai. UP, West Bengal, and Bihar me All 7 phases me Voting hai.

In India when a party Loose they blame evm but when election commission challenge them that bring any hacker in the world hack evm then no party comes to accept this challenge. It's the most secure and advance voting system in the world. Now Indian technology is the best in the world in some fields like digital economy UPI, adhar, EVM, digi locker etc.

Counting me bas 1 din hi lagta hai. Pura 1 din bhi nah, Subha 9-10 baje se counting start hota hai, aur afternoon tak sambjho sab clear ho jata hai. Ha jab paper ballet se voting hoti thi tab 2-3 din lagta tha. EVM itna time nahi lagta.

To answer your question, there's no limit as such on how many candidates can stand for elections coz apart from political parties few independents also contest so that decides how many EVMs are given in an area

I have been counting Micro observer so many times and I can tell you that after EVM counting got completed by 3.00 pm and certificate got issued to the winning candidate by 6.00 pm

Mamta ji ki party- trinmool congress(tmc). Other than parties any eligible indian citizen can be a candidate in elections. In elections many independent candidates also wins and go to loksabha😊😊❤. In this election 5 independent and 7 party candidates have filled nominations from my constituencies.❤

One correction: After EVM counting, one govt official updated the record on the result on election commission website. Anyone can check the website for actual update. Also one result slip is to be given to the candidate and media person available outside the counting hall. Sharing with my personal experience on counting.

You can contest election even as independent candidate & there is no limits on no of contestant but the amount, required to be deposited by the contestant at the time of nomination is forfeited if He/ She gets less than 10% of total votes.

He missed very important things.. The votes cast during Mock poll conducted just before actual polling are deleted from the machine..and again ' Result' button is pressed to show the polling agents of the candidates that there is not a single vote registered in the machine.
