Those plates are made up of leaves (patte) commonly known as pattal in India. Sadiyon se India me public gathering me yehi plates use hua karti thi but 20 years se dheere dheere plastic plates took over.

Mayapur was a tiny village few decades ago. Now it's a large town. All of these restaurants are in the town of Mayapur and not necessarily in the iskcon campus.

You don't need to convert. A vast number of member is not actually. You can become a member even if you follow your separate religion. You just have to follow few guidelines. Vegetarianism is one of them.

Mayapur is Birth place of Krishna devotee Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.Mayapur ISKCON temple is world's biggest temple.All shops shown in video is with in it's campus.All food served here is pure Vegetarian and without Garlic and Onions.

wo plates paper ka nahi hai. Wo leaves ka bana hua plates hai. Usse Pattal bolte hai. India me bahut common hai wo. South me fresh banana leaves use karte hai zada as a plate, compared to Pattal. North me Pattal bahut use hota hai. Aaj kal paper aur plastic use hone laga hai. Nahi to kuch time phele ye sab nahi tha.

Myapur is like a mya city ....town which is basically influenced by iscon and is under development as a whole that's why so little permanent shops ...now the best part is myapur is like dubai or singapur a full grown redevelopment center but rather than luxury it's spirituality

These disposable hygienic natural & cheap plates and small ‘katories’ are made off big leaves of certain trees since ancient times but not from banana leaves & called pattals, patravali ( in Sanskrit, leaves arranged in a circle )etc. in various languages in Indian states, these big sized leaves are joined together by small small wooden thread like sticks but now a days some factories are making these pattals on machines (in various sizes and shapes as required or on demand)in bulk as being used in large quantities throughout India!

Those disposable plates are made of sal (Shorea robusta) leaves, we call it SAL PATA (শাল পাতা) in Bengali, some times banana leaves also used.

usually plates are made using arecanut leaves and teak leaves thicker portion of arecanut leaves are used for this purpose as its biodegradable substance it wont harm nature - eco friendly

Mayapur is a village in west bengal, it's the birth place of shree Chaitanya mahaprabhu. Mayapur ek chhota sa villege hai, sob kuch iscon territory ko lekar hai, kuch ander kuch bahar tha. It's 2-3 hours journey from Kolkata by road, Or by train. All plat made by paper.

14:55 Mayapur is not a Temple Campus, it is like a spiritual city being developed by ISKCON, and it is still under construction. Some parts of it are functional and work is being done in some other portions. It will get completed by 2022. It is spread across around 700 acres. And 700 acres is quite a big area. Even 100 acres look like a Town, so you can imagine the spread of 700 acres. Whatever shown in this video - everything comes under Mayapur.

This thali made of 'saal' leaves...we in the east site of India states like west bengal, odisha, assam...use of this kind of thali is very normal...even we use banana leaves thali... mainly we used it during prasadam distribution...in other occasion.... it's very good for health also and disposable.🙏 we use glass made of clay... it's tradition here

These are leaves plates stitched with straws, totally biodegradable. It is our tradition to eat on banana leaves or plates prepared with leaves. ISKON Mayapur is a fabulous temple located in the state of West Bengal (East side of India). ISKON temples and devotees are present at all metro cities of world. We devotees are pure vegetarian and all our foods are prepared without adding onions and garlic.

pattiyon se bani Thali hoti hai Pattal ! aur patte kee katoree ko dona bolten hai ek Ped (darakht) hota hai PALAASH uske patton se pattal banti hai. South mein pattl shayad nahi hoti, wahan kele ke patte ko seedhe hi use karten hai (kyonki akela patta hi kafi bada hota hai ! )

Mayapur is a town within which the Isckon campus exists. Isckon doesn't own the whole town but a large part of it. And yeah the places shown all are within the isckon campus
