Sir, which Supreme Court Judgement he is citing... Yes there is pollution. Chimney height more than 60 feet will greatly decrease pollution. The catch here is these people extract oil out of shell, if shell is burnt no oil can be extracted. There is a big market for cashew oil overseas. So, who is the loser? . Of course the customer. The end product lacks taste and also longevity... If I am correct most of the raw cashews these days are imported from African countries as most of the trees in and around have been chopped off because of real estate... Food for thought....

I am not clear about some of the important things which are missed in this video. Are these cashew products not ready to use as a product? They are boiling for the removal of the shell. After that, there were no heat kill steps like roasting of the cashew to kill the micro organisms (Salmonella). Is it skipped in the video? Or they don't do any further processing? This product is ok to use as an ingredient where you have a further heat kill process like oil roasting, etc. But it can not be consumed directly. I believe they sell to big cashew processing units as a raw material for further processing. I am a Quality Auditor, I have visited some of the factories in Kollam, Mahabaleshwar areas. They will do further roasting processes to kill the micro organisms. Then, it can be used directly in food industries like Chocolates, Biscuits, Ice creams etc
