This has changed my contouring forever! I alway applied contour powder before bronzer and spent ages blending it out because it was to harsh for my pale face! Now that I switched it looks more natural and cuts out most of the blending. Thank you!!!! Xx

I knowwww. It's like...this isn't Highlander, people. There can be more than one. I mean...I'm pretty damn pale, but far from the palest ever and I still have tons of trouble finding the right shades. I went to a few different places to get shade matched for foundation a few weeks ago, and I made a comment about being pale to one of the ladies matching me and she was all "you're not that pale" and I asked her "how many shades are lighter than the one you just put on me?" and she was like "um...oh. uh...one...." and I was like "yuuuuup." 😂 😂 And this is in ENGLAND. Like. There are loads of Uber-Celtic Scottish and Irish people living here who ought to be plenty paler than my Italian ass, and yet.

Grey tones work so much better on me, I could never bronze my face easily because of how pale I am and was so jealous of my friends who blended it in so easily! This was so helpful, thanks Nikkie!!! x

even when I wear tan, my foundation is still too dark hahahaha there's no hope. Genuinely never found a foundation to work with my pale oily acne prone skin.

+Ava Thompson Check out the Illamasqua White Base! It's very... Well... White. 😂 If you are actually white as paper it will match, but otherwise you can mix it with your favorite foundation formula with the correct undertone that's just too dark to make it match your skin tone. Glam & Gore gave me this tip (she's REALLY pale) and it's super helpful.

You're the only youtube makeup artist whose TIPS I find actually helps me improve my makeup! Other artists simply state names of makeup products and brushes, but don't explain the movement and technique of application. They create various types of looks and even though they look amazing, we don't really learn anything. I just want to say THANKS for actually caring to give helpful tips to people.

I think the undertone is a really personal thing and you will find with enough experimentation what works for you. I'm super pale and I tried for some time to use taupes and greyer shades of contour, but I found they actually added to that whole undead pale vibe I already have going. My favorite product right now is the body shop bronzing powder in 3 - it definitely had some warmth to it but when blended properly with my blush it gives my skin a much healthier look.

You've just changed my life! I not only have very very pale skin, but I also have really dark eyes and hair, so it's easy to transition from white to orange if I chose the wrong shades. This was really helpful (plus I love how you explain everything). All the love from Argentina!

I love this video! I never contour because when I tried it before I would look, as you say, just dirty. But then without contouring I just look washed out and I too have a very round face so it doesn't help at all. Your tips are amazing! thank you!

Try Kat Von D’s medium foundations, this brand has one of the largest ranges of light and dark shades and so many different undertones. The coverage is also amazing!

can you post what brands of foundation and concealer you use. I've looked everywhere and cannot find foundation of concealer that works as good as yours

Watching this makes me wanna start wearing makeup! I’m in my 40’s and thought I’d try to contour. For the 1st time. You know your stuff girl! When you said you were fair skinned I was like ‘Ugh on what planet??!?’ But sans makeup, and yes! Wow! What a difference! You make it look so easy! Sh*t, I’d have to buy a lot of products!
