I actually learned this on a school trip once. If it's very cold you can fill the entire thing with leaves basically making a cocoon around you. It might be a little bit weird but it sure keeps you warm

That is awesome. My wife and I did some survivalist camping many years ago and we had a modern hatchets and knives. Along with sleeping bags. So I know this was a lot of effort. It’s so cool seeing you do it with primitive tools.

I have made stone tools. As I progress in my knowledge I'm now at making knives no forge welding yet. Seeing this and the effort it takes i appreciate this man y'all should really see the time it takes to cut this stuff and put it together vs how much easier modern metals have made it . I wonder if dogs ever see us doing stuff and really comprehend it. This video as an example. The dog watching you take trees, and branches apart, placing them together in an empty space and making a shelter for the both of you. I like to think they not only notice but appreciate it.

My cousins and I did this a couple years back in the woods behind our houses. After a few days of building a frame, using some clay we found to fill holes, and covering the top with brush, we had a nice little setup. Then the people who’s property it was five feet over on, destroyed it. Caved it in.

When I was a kid we built a shelter in a small patch of woods in my neighborhood. We used old Christmas trees we found and whatever other pine branches we could and that pine insulated the shelter better than anything

По чаще палочки на крыше и хвою с лесным мусором кладем на крышу тоже - и живое дерево не трогаем и от осадков да ветра укроемся наверняка🤝Чтобы веревку не использовать - достаточно 2 рогатины впереди скрестить, можно - корнями или берестой связать. А если уж лапник заготавливать - топор для такого колличества тоже не нужен🤝

Things these crafting videos forget to mention. Dampness. Bugs/rodents. Wind. Warmth. If there's a remote possibility your going to be stuck out in the wilderness you bring a tent, tarp and a sleeping bag. There is no possible way of someone having to resort to what this man is doing. It's a great demonstration of how to set up a shelter from scratch. But realistically you won't survive long in it. I live outdoors 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days of the year. I recommend building a fireplace first then building your shelter off of that. And yes you will need tarps and genuine tools. But great demo.
