"Deinotherium" is a track from the newly released full length album "Cenozoic", channeling the prehistoric animalism in pure form through the totemic representation of creatures that once roamed the ancient Earth. Deinotherium (name meaning "Terrible Beast") is a genus of large proboscidean. Standing 5 meters tall and weighing 12 tons, Deinotherium is one of the largest terrestrial mammals of all time, far larger and more aggressive than the modern elephants. Deinotherium, like its relatives, possessed a pair of tusks. However, unlike modern elephants, the tusks of Deinotherium positioned on the tip of its lower jaw rather than the skull were several feet long, curved and pointed downwards. This bizarre design was especially useful when it came to stripping the bark off of tree trunks to chew with their massive molars. Like modern elephants, male Deinotherium would undergo musth when ready to mate. During these sessions, they would become extremely aggressive and would attack anything. Surprisingly, these animals also traveled in small groups but were also solitary animals.

Really nice, Brothers! By the way there is a perfect species remains of Deinotherium in the museum at Sofia University, which was found in a sedimentary basin near Plovdiv city. I think this one is one of the most preserved in the World.

Just recently discovered this song and this artist. As a teenager who is a paleo nerd and artist, who is trying to form my own band, I find this really intriguing and inspiring and I’d totally kill to see more like this

Nice work! By the way, what about a scientific accurate battle between phreistoric creatures? Could it make a good theme too? I tried, but it is kind of hard.

not sure..considering how much it would be pure speculation in behaviors etc might be a bit..ehh..... but ''what ifs'' alternative bronce age....or post high tech civ collapse in a world brimming once more with megalithic creatures for people to get god concepts from or try to befriend...or enslave at high costs... now there's something that if well done...could hook me for several seasons.

@Namoth Oh, I see, that concept of megalithic creatures is super interesting, I imagine like a picture of a little girl feeding a big herbivorous creature as a link long forgotten or a hypothetical picture that could have happened, but I can't even draw that...; There is a lot of noise lately about discoveries in early drawings of humans 30,000 years ago in Blombos Cave, maybe it could help as inspiration; or maybe that enigmatic lion man sculpture. Thanks for the reply =), your work is always very professional.

@ my work ? ^^ but ye it is a interesting topic , hints of lots of megalithic species still being around in ouer early pre-history time both ice age ones that we likely contributed to the extermination of the same like neaderthals , but also other ones like megalithic sloths ..easy to see where ouer early ancestors could goten inspiration to ther gods concepts from or the greater respect for nature when you shared a world with creatures like that.... it be sort of like how ouer view on things be tempered today if we shared this world with battleship sized armored fire breathing dragons. sadly it appears ouer ancestors where very skilled ''pack hunters'' agenst megalithic creatures.

Honestly, all these instrumentals are so awesome! I love these so much. It all started with Direwolf and then I soon followed the rest in suite! I wonder, what's you're opinion on the band "The Ocean"? If you listened to the ever of course. They have three albums on Earth's Geological Time Scale and it sounds like something right up your alley. The albums in order are as put below. Thanks. As for the aforementioned band, I can't comment the music because it's not in 'my alley' but on the first listening it didn't evoke any feelings of primordial earth and ancestral ages. Kudos for the track names nonetheless.

@@Paleowolf Of course! Metal, but boy it fits the time periods and that's what I love it for! But I also love the calmer more primordial feel!
