Law and Order Creator Dick Wolf reveals that he's always liked mysteries. Dick credits the shows success to the amazing actors. Cast members S. Epatha Merkerson, ("Lt. Anita Van Buren") and Sam Waterston ("D.A. Jack McCoy") talk about their favorite cast members over the years.

My fave characters were played by Jerry Orbach, Jessie L. Martin and Sam Waterston and Angie Harmon👌although I must admit Elizabeth Rohm did a great job 👊and of course incredible S.Epatha Merkenson!

I love this show and can watch a marathon of episodes. It keeps your attention you follow from the start to finish. And I love Sam Waterston he is so convincing as a district attorney. And Jerry orbach was fantastic all of the cast was wonderful. Dick wolf is a genius now I'm hooked on his fbi series'. Can't wait until Feb 24,the bringing back law and order. Yay☺️😊

Merkerson’s natural hair look here is so beautiful. I never understood why they changed it for her Van Buren character.

Because she appeared in early episodes as another character (season 1 she was a dead kids mother and she had her natural look) so they had to make her look like she was someone else entirely *OTHER CHARACTERS

@@PeteUnsigned no by her own testimony she was said her natural hair wasn't good for tv at the time. She has natural african dready looking hair

Cops are generally conservative, & straightened hair is a more conservative look in the Black community.... so Van Buren's hair style fit the character.

Logan and Cerreta were the best detective team. I also liked the last team Lupo And Bernard (Sisto and Anderson)

My favourite detective team of the whole law & order franchise was Logan teaming up with Nicholson. Nicholson’s character was very refreshing.

@@gabalw.3992 Who was Nicolson? The three detectives with whom Logan was teamed were Briscoe (Jerry Orbach), Greevey (George Dzundza), and Cerreta (Paul Sorvino).

@@charlesallen4821 He means Julianne Nicholson who played Det Wheeler on Law and Order: Criminal Intent. She was partnered with an older Logan (Chris Noth) who returned to the franchise.

Once jessie l martin left it wasn't the same I like lupo but I wasn't feeling Anthony Anderson's role they used him in SUV with stabler it wasn't feeling it after brisco lupo I liked with ed green as far as the female lawyers elisabeth rohm was my favorite.

Angie Harmon (Abbie Carmichael) and Carey Lowell (Jamie Ross) were the best ADA's ever.

Claire Kinkaid (Jill Hennessy) was the first female ADA and she was very good. Also Connie Rubirosa was great. They were interesting characters as well. They didn't mention them.

Elisabeth Rohm was awful, but I kept watching because everyone else was so great. But when they added Fred Thompson, that was the end for me.

Lenny Briscoe & Mike Logan characters the best. Ben Stone and Don Cragen great as well. When the show caved in and became politically correct, it suffered greatly. Van Buren and McCoy were the most abrasive characters in history and almost ruined the show.

Almost ruined it? Along with Briscoe they MADE the show! Also how is having them "politically correct"? That makes zero sense.
