In the 1960's Nigeria was a leader in palm oil production as it was the country's major export commodity. Although today Nigeria ranks 5th in palm oil production.
In this video, you will learn how palm oil and palm kernel oil (PKO) is produced by women in south-south and south-eastern Nigeria. you will also learn why palm oil is red, and how palm oil is good for your health.

I really enjoyed this video thank you. Extracting the oil is labour intensive and these people are hardworking. They also appear healthy and strong. I felt like joining them in the work but the reality is i will probably perish in 10 mins because i am a soft westerner 😅

It is not mud. Dirt mixed with water is mud. In this case, it is just the clay which is mixed with water. It is used to seperate the shell from the meat of the seed which is further processed into palm kernel oil.

There are plenty of of illegal garbage dumps in India that can be converted into oil palm sites. Windrows of compost from garbage that are 5-6ft. tall could be placed between the rows of oil palms. The leachate from the compost will be feeding the oil palms. In two months, 1/3 of the degraded garbage can be used for bio-methane production. In another four months, the remaining 2/3 of the compost is sold for agricultural compost. Mean while, the oil palms are happy little creatures, waiting to reach maturity for oil production. The people involved are making money from the compost and the removal of pollution. Today Indians are going the Persian Gulf States merely to be treated with contempt and as slaves while the could stay and help prosper the country.

Wrong, the boiled fruit is not put into a grinding machine. It is is into a thrashing machine. And the thrashing machine is being overloaded simply because they design the gearing ratio incorrectly from the motor to the load. They are wasting production time and money.

@@safiyahamisu5874 you misunderstood. He gave the wrong name of the machine which he called grinder. The correct name is thrashing machine.
