LOL @Mateo Velasquez. YIKES. We had no idea. I am not tooo sure if that district in Bogata is as popular or as touristy as the red light district in Amsterdam though. Not that I have experienced Amsterdam yet. But we felt pretty out of place there. We were like two little crumbs floating in a full cup of coffee. lol. We try to stay positive about everything, and use it as a learning experience. That night (New years Eve 2019) over a few drinks we talked about what we would do if either of us ever got jumped, and made a plan. Now we have some good moves under our belts, and a plan of action if we ever got attacked. Not something we ever wish to experience, but you never know. I mean it could happen ANYWHERE on this planet. We would never let a moment in time keep us from experiencing the world though. Have you been to that district or to Paloquemao? We LOVED that market! It made it all worth while! Thanks for watching. - Erin + Brian too

I stumbled upon your channel and this is the second video I've watched (first was Monserrate). You guys are amazing! The chill vibes you two exude are contagious! Your videos are very entertaining, informative and soo funny (Erin's facial expressions are hilarious too). Ok in case you're still wondering, at 2:12 Oscar says "Ahí hay otro más bacano" ("There's a nicer one over there"...not sure what he was referring to specifically. Bacano is slang for cool/nice). And at 3:38 the dude actually says "Los invitamos cordialmente acá a Colombia a disfrutar un buen café colombiano". Anyway, you guys rock! Look forward to watching more of your adventures :)

Hey @Morteg Is Dead. Lol thanks about Palo q'meow. That got us laughing pretty good too. One of our biggest regrets while travelling may just be not doing enough research around the cultures. To be honest, we worked our butts off 80% of our travels building our business online. From 11+ eCourses, webinars, marketing, and content... We were just grateful to live like locals in beautiful places. BGT was awesome. We saw some great things, but hardly scratched the surface. We were really blessed to see much more of Ecuador. We did eat a lot of granadilla. I forget if we tried it in this video though?! I thought we did at the end? Anyways... Where are you from? - Erin + Brian too

Do you guys remember the prices on the mangosteen?
@BEAdventurePartners
@BEAdventurePartners 5 жыл бұрын
Hi @davidfliu! Great question! In the US & Canada, mangosteen is considered an exotic fruit & is several dollars each. In Colombia, they were about 25 cents USD. Can’t remember the exact price though. Our entire grocery haul ended up being less than $20 USD! In our perspective, it was quite inexpensive!

BE Adventure Partners nice to meet you too, mainly I love “lulo” if you can find a “lulada” in Bogotá will be perfect because is a tipical juice of Cali , also “mango biche” with salt. Is a strange mix. A little acid but delicious . I live in Bogotá and I feel so proud that people visit us like you. Part of our gastronomy you can find in marketplaces like “la perseverancia” or “las Nieves” I recommend you “tamal” “lechona” “ajicao” “fritanga/picada”. la Candelaria is amazing because is multicultural. Definitely visit to “Usaquén” in the north of Bogotá where they sell beautiful souvenirs.
