I am currently replacing my sheeting 4 years old hail approximately 5/8" punched holes though the top face tye sheets aren't very strong and the sheets scratch easily.

is this very see through for a view? or would the clear polycarbonate roofing material be better for desiring to still see out?

I think the flat sheets would be better for a green house. the flat sheets are more durable and are flexible depending on what mm u use about up to 9.50mm is flexible. u can even buy UV protected ones or just basic ones.. I no this cause I make this stuff everyday.---- line leader for flat sheets at palram.

Hi. Thx for the vid. I noticed that for this project you installed the panels horizontally rather than the recommended vertical orientation. Did you have any problems with moisture buildup in the cells? I'm thinking of doing the same thing on my shop, creating a band of "Sunlite" panels along the top of the North facing wall. All the research I've done warns that this will result in moisture and algae. Would love to know how your stuff is holding up. I do live in a very humid place.

Palram makes an aluminum tape you are supposed to put on the ends as well as the channels that are supposed to be a part of the system. If you don’t install the product per manufacture specifications not only is the warranty void, but you are responsible for any resulting failure and damages as a contractor. My advice for anyone wanting to install Palram products is to not watch a video like this and run with it. The video here is a great example of what not to do with this product.

Just did 4 sheets on my roof and it took 6h. WORST ROOFING SYSTEM EVER to install. The joiners are a pain in the ass.

Could you seal the end with clear silicon?

I know with many panels one side is protected but the other side isn't so how would I know which side has the protection if I've already pealed off the outer sticky film and thrown it away?

Hi im looking to build a big greenhouse for myself this spring and im looking into this polycarbonate plastic for it my dad used 6ml solid all way through years ago was like solid fibre glass sheets nothing broke these things not even a car haha! Anyway i was wondering how solid this stuff is? And also the way you installed it side ways is that working just as good? no water or condensation sitting in the air pockets? I was gonna do the same instead of cutting and using more than i need to but im getting told the inner tube have to go vertical for the water to escape! ? Pretty sure the sun would sort that out tho! thanks for your video

This is an older video in my channel and after I did this video I used those panels on a whole bunch of projects later on. They are great stuff and surprisingly tough. It is very similar to the material that comes with the medium and large Harbor Freight greenhouse kits, but the US made stuff from Palram is less brittle, more flexible, and seems a little stronger, but it bends easier. It also costs about twice as much as Palruf (another Palram product) corrugated single layer stuff. I have used this on camper and prefab building section privacy windows, but never a roof. There are special edge connectors for using this stuff on roofs, and some roofing supply places can get single sheets in larger sizes than the standard 2ft by 8ft Home Depot versions.

If installing horizontally there is a danger of moisture collecting and turning to mold

$67.00 for a 4X8 foot sheet at eplastics. Just a bit more expensive than using two sheets of the 2X8 corrugated panels, and these are much more easy on the eyes than the wallet.
