Pan Pastel - Distress Ink - How they work together

Testing Pan Pastels, Distress Inks and water, to see how well they work on a page. Using a workable fixative is prefect for this. Had fun slapping down Pastels, Inks, water and I even through in some Neo II into the mix. Happy it ended up so well... lol

Came to the master’s channel, because i just got some pan pastels and wanted to see if they could/ how they would work with distress inks. And OMG i am soooo trying this!!!! Id give anything for half your creative mind!!!! She is stunning!! And looks so fun to do! 💙💜💙💜💙💜

You have inspired me to move past the colored pencils and markers. Taking risks with new tools and colors. I have been doing alot more coloring than I used to. I even bought some distress ink the other day and I've been practicing. Your coloring is so amazing! I am so glad I found your youtube channel. It's very nice and relaxing. Helps me feel a bit more daring when it comes to coloring. So thank you so much for sharing this beautiful work!

Hi Karen a kneadable eraser is best for pastels ! Just love this ,l love pastels ,l have worked with them for awhile ,but l have not picked them up for years .

The paper is Georgia Pacific 110 lb Cardstock purchased at Walmart.

Love this mixture where did you purchase your applicators do they work with distress ink as well

Hi Carol, If you are talking about the blue applicators, they came with the pan pastels and are to used with them. The round tools with black handles are used with the Distress Inks. I would not mix the two... They have different sponge parts.

Karen does this cardstock buckle with water ?

Hi Beverley, This cardstock can take a fair amount of water without buckling, but if you were to use water colors on it you will get some ruffles on the page.
