Mk1 EMU's share the Brighton services with the new class 319's. The Reading - Gatwick Airport services are worked by the new 165 and 166 diesel units. Loco's from classes 37, 47, 60 and 73 are seen in action on various workings.

I was 4 when this video was taken but fondly remember standing on Redhill platform frequently with my dad as he'd often take me for a day out 'on the cheap' as he would say to either Gatwick airport or Reading which cost him only a train ticket and I think I went free. Fond memories of the old slammers and diesels that used to come through with the occasional Gatwick express unit. Thanks for the memories uploading this.
