This channel is so underrated. I am thinking about the G90 but as a wildlife shooter (mainly) it makes sense to save the extra and get the G9

Wow, great review! I'm just wondering why this video has only 2500 viewers by now and the publisher has only 3.3k subscribers. What I liked the most was it showed what it looked like when shooting with 100-300mm as well as 12-60mm, which are the reason I'm considering Panasonic mirrorless over FZ1000 or FZ2500. I'm also considering Sony A6400 because of the advanced AF tracking performance but couldn't find a quality telephoto lens at the reasonable price range. The Sony 55-210mm is affordable but looks cheap and the poor lens sharpness compromises a6400's superior AF. The other Sony 70-300G looks great but it's too expensive as well as bulky and heavy. The MicroFourThirds' highend telephoto lens looks really compact and light. The high quality, compact and reasonably priced telephoto lenses are real competitiveness of Panasonic against Sony.

Nice review, good to see someone show the camera in actual use rather than reading from a spec sheet. The only reason for me not to upgrade my G80 just yet though, is the pricing. They over did it on this one, since the G80 was £200 less in the UK at release for body only. The G80 was just as up to the minute at the time as the G90 is now. I'd wait for prices to come down, or just get a G9

Thank you! It's a great camera and competitively priced amongst its peers for its feature set. But as you've said your G80 is still a very capable camera and an even better deal now that the G90 has been released.

I’m so impressed! It’s not the gh5s sensor people rumoured but wow they included Vlog. This is an awesome little camera would love to see side by side autofocus video tests with the gh5 :p I’m that kind of nerd

We'll try and include side-by-side AF tests in future videos, thank you for your feedback! It's performance and feature set met and exceeded my expectations for a camera at this price point. I've had many frustrating experiences with cameras that have more features and are twice the price.

The main reason for the micro USB vice usb-c for this budget camera is the micro-usb is free to use vice licensing costs for usb-c. My G95 will be here soon. I placed an order for one yesterday

Hello from France Very good video. But maybe you could help me: while shooting in slow mo at 120 fps with my G90, I can see weird bright blue sparkles on the surface of the water, wheras the water looks normal (8 mn) on your vid. Is it due to a sensor problem? Thanks in advance for your help.

Maybe worth noting that the G9 sensor is actually a very worthwhile improvement over earlier MFT sensors, great colours and sharpness, and I've found 12800iso to be perfectly good on my G9 too.

According to the spec, I don't think that G90 uses the G9(20.33mp) sensor. It uses GX9(20.30mp)sensor. AF system is GX9 AF system.

@@eugenewangchuck8633 interesting. Then the G90 is using the GX8 20mp sensor (as does the GX9). The G9 still ahead in tech...

@@Vincent79Vega Hi, I've used Lumix G MFT cameras since the G1, almost every model at some stage, alongside my working Nikon DSLRS. The Lumix have been great when I wanted a much smaller lighter camera, usually for non-working times. The image quality was great, but really a match for the Nikons. The GH3 and onwards was very very close, and did get used for work jobs, but AF was nowhere near Nikons for moving subjects. The G9 was a turning point, with image quality and sharpness the match of DX Nikons, so I could crop into images if needs be. The AF is now good enough for sport like pro-football (soccer) too, with no issues for me at higher iso, upto 6400, plenty for me. A truly pro' level MFT camera. I have read that the new G90/95 does not have the G9 sensor, but uses the GX8 20mp sensor, which I've found to be very close to the G9 sensor, though lacking just a tiny bit at 6400iso. Hope this helps.

Not a huge upgrade from the G80 IMO and now they have hiked the price up too compared to the release price of the G80. Some of the Ottter images looked blurred, like the AF did not work consistantly, something that I found annoying on my G80 for photographing wildlife. That's why I went back to my Nikon DSLR for now. The D7500 pretty much nails focus even in testing light and the quality is very good even at higher ISO settings/low light.

Is it really a G90 or a fake ? It seems stabilisation is OFF most of the time... No noise too. Maybe with a very fast aperture lens ?. Neither the 12-60 nor the 14-140.

20mbits at 1080p.. not gonna buy that.

Why? KZfaq will downgrade that to 8mbits or 12mbits for high frame rates anyway. Plus it looks great. I know this as I often use that on my G80.
