I will update my G95 gallery as soon as I can with many more photos and more variety (landscapes, travel/city, etc). I have some trips coming up and once I'm back from those, I'll be uploading a lot more!

2 years later, I used this review and one other one to help decide between the g95 and gh5 (I have access to a GH5s at work). So I appreciate it and the galleries!

Nice review. I tried a G9 recently, but it had some mechanical problems that required a return plus I found the camera a bit too large for comfortable handling. I just received my G95 and it is a perfect fit, the controls are where they should be for me. I don't miss a joystick as I can use the LCD effectively for focusing. The focusing speed is not quite at G9 level, but it looks to be an excellent stills camera -- which is what I wanted.

Enjoy yours. I also had the G9 so I know I'm not really missing anything I need/want other than the joystick. Oh and the highlight weighted metering is not available on the G95, but I only really used that indoors at events, so I won't miss it too much.

I had the 12-40 f/2.8 Olympus lens and can agree that it is an awesome and well-built lens All the Olympus Pro Leval lenses are awesome I will probably get another Pen-F (Wish I never sold mine) Regards, Rick

Thanks. Yeah what would be even better would be the 12-100 f/4 but that lens never comes down much even used. I don't want to spend much on the G95 setup...but I would like to have at least ONE good zoom for it and that's it. :-)

@@ThePhotographyHobbyist i never owned the 12-100 f/4 but I did get to use one with my local M43 guys I did love the focal range but I already had the 40-150 f/2.8 so I never bought th 12-100

audio is a little on the low side, my camera is the same so I try to speak a little louder. Just letting you know :)

Sorry about that. I turned up the level one notch on the Z7 but I guess it could use another bump up. Either that or I should try a new battery in that mic. Eventually I want to buy that new Rode wireless lav...maybe by Christmas.

Is there a reason to have this over a G9? I can't seem to find a real good reason. I need a new travel camera.

The Happy Hour Hound The only reason I can think of is the size. Otherwise the sensor is the same and the G9 price is close to the G95 today but without a lens.
