Hello Everyone! I am so excited to release my first full length, ff14 savage guide. Endgame content is some of my favorite content to do, but what I love more is helping people get into it as well. In this Raid Guide, I show you my group's Week 1/Day 1 strategies for each mechanic. I hope you all find this effective and informative! Looking forward to uploading the rest of the tier's fights as guides as well!

The boss doesn't automatically face the correct way for Front Firestrikes or Rear , you have to bait him after he jumps to the 4 people. Similar to Kefa kick from O8S.

Yeah I should have mentioned this more clearly, you're correct! We just naturally did it but me not specifically including it is definitely a mistake.

There's part of video where you explain key info and the music just start a bit loud, maybe adjust it a bit so it's more clearance Thanks for your great work on the guide ! This help a lot !

Thanks for the guide! One note "Ravening" (to feed greedily) is pronounced with a soft A (rah ven ing) from Ravenous (extremely hungry) though I do believe they ARE both from the word Raven in reference to the birds being hungry scavengers. Pronunciations are always a bitch.

Auger too. An auger is for drilling into the ground, it's augh ger (like pogger)

@@The_Hanged_Man_Arcana true of Auger, however! He's casting augur, which is an ancient Roman religious figure or soothsayer, augury is the process of divining the future (often with intestines or by reading omens). I believe the pronunciation is the same though.

I have heard Chimera Phase 2 (the second set of ice walls) when he does the Dualspell that it's ALWAYS fire/ice for that part.

This tier's "Devour mechanic" ... Yeah, thats apt XD I was quite happy our group got that far on our first day :D And seeing the fight now, I also finally understand what the whole fire business is. Its truly just like Devour: once you know it, you know it. ... Now we just have to master it XD I think this'll help :) Thanks a lot

Appreciate the upload and I'm sure you're rushing to get these out as quick as possible but there was some audio mixing issues around, ironically, all of the more involved mechanics that had the music drowning you out. Just giving a headsup for future uploads!

Are you sure swinging kicks works like you say? From what we've seen the boss turns to face the tank/player after the dash. It's not always going to be facing north (in this example).

13:37 This mech. Comet/thunder/bile mech. Does the boss really allow you to choose whos getting hit with thunder, and which with biles? Because im unsure how you would know otherwise who baits thunder, and who baits bile first.

Yes! thunder is proximity baited (closest 4 players) Bile is furthest player! Great question

Hi! Question. For the cracks on the floor. Do they always explode in the same way or is there randomness to them?

There are distinct patterns, yes! But where the cracks originate from differs each pull. Think of it as a set 'shape" that starts in different orientations.

why do you HAVE to run back to the party as defa 1 or 2, if youre phys ranged for example you dont have to do you? (in lc2)

You can have all 4 defas begin at the orb side if you want! Week 1 strats just usually have plenty of room for improvement. Good question though

Explanation is nice and precise, however the music is way too loud compared to your low voice, its sometimes hard to hear what youre saying.

There are times, especially during explanation of hard mechanics, were music is so loud I can't hear what's being said. Tip for next one, tone down music :)

idk if it was just my settings but it felt like your music got louder towards the end and was almost louder than your narrating. Other than that solid guide!

@@AnnaKittyCore it's week 1. Not a good way to base difficulty. This boss literally doesn't really anything till 60%. This guide tried to explain whole mechanics on raid plan and makes it cluttered and more complicated than it is. Though it's a guide on day 2. The information is welcome this early.

Next time you make a video, do you think you could actually turn the music down so its not like you are in a rave lol. I can't hear hallf the video and the music is louder than you when you are explaining the important bits!! Other than that though, thanks, helpful video 🙂

He's always turned to us and cleaved the wall on rear. I could have mentioned this more specifically, tbh!

@@Ahrieffect In the clip you show, he specifically turns to one of the players that are in the correct baiting position. You can see another player get clipped at the same time.

Oh for sure! I reckon this guide will be surpassed relatively quickly as more people solve/make things more efficient. Goal is just to help give people a glance at the entire phase, I encourage people to improve upon anything!

Great guide, fantastic info! Some tips on pronunciations not that you need it: Kokytos is Greek and pronounced: "Coke-eye-tuss" and "Ravening" is like "ravenous - hunger" not a hard A sound but a light one.

I do appreciate the early info, but i think youre guides would be so much better if you didnt try to rush it out. Its just a lot of PoV and text on the screen. I liked when you used a raid plan to show some mecs, but its just a lot of talking. Plus the running in a circle LevinCut is not something id endorse, cause itll be changed most likely. And i think its cause you tried to solve it like Devour and not like Limit Cut. Again, not trying to hate cause all info is great, i just think you have so much potential.

Yeah, I'm putting out another one soon! For P10s. I agree with you on a lot of points that there are certainly improvements that could be made to the guide if it got more time to breathe life, as well as improvements to format. I disagree regarding the rush factor though, as I've been in the position before of pushing those week 1 clears and just wanting access to that information as fast as possible, even if it's missing some bells and whistles, know what I mean? all in all I'm super thrilled to keep improving and innovating where I can, but I'm going to keep working hard this tier. Thanks for your genuine response though, was a pleasure to read. :) P.S. Sorry about the audio issues, sleep has been rough. won't happen again!

Nonsensical comment. If you don't want the rushed out guides, don't watch them during the first week. The guide you want will come later. But for those that want information fast, as good or bad or rushed or incomplete or incorrect as they may be, that's what we're here for.
