Couldn't agree more. I feel as though they could develop a lot more from the Tushui and Huojin philosophies and their dichotomies, but it's difficult to reconcile a Pandaren being Horde anymore despite their ideology. There is no long-term "good" discernible in following Sylvanas. They're my absolute favourite race and I find the Huojin philosophy is so appealing, especially in terms of roleplay; however, I've all but abandoned mine in terms of RP now. I can't wait for the plot to shift away from the faction war.

I've always loved pandaren as a race, and it sucks that blizzard doesn't give them much recognition. Kinda like the gnomes for the longest time, Varian's death is literally the first time we see a gnome in a cinematic. Plus after all these years they still haven't recaptured gnomeragan. Its nuts but the cinematic's a start. Hopefully they'll show more love for the pandas

bliz just need to give a few shadopan nps hide around azeroth that give minnor quest to pandares . My idea is to make the pandaren like a secret order that work with the factions just to heal the damage that the war brings . Like not realy horde of alliance , they pretend to get into the conflict and help the ones in need.

Pandaren also need more class representation pretty much every pandaren npc is a monk plus the occasional pandaren rouge/assassin I main a pandaren shaman and we get pretty much no representation in either faction

Them and goblins kind of get hatred from the playerbase... One of the reasons I plan on playing a pandaren death-knight and I might make a pandaren warrior... them animations so good~

I know this is old but ngl it kind of would have been cool if pandaren could interact with both factions instead of having g to pick one although that would probably cause issues and idk if that’s proper lore wise but yeah still would be cool

As an Alliance pandaren player I agree a lot with this video. I started playing WoW during Cata final patch and I remember how I was pretty exciting when MOP comes out, it was a totally new expansion for me and I made a Pandaren monk, being my first lvl max character and my main since MOP until BFA and now in Shadowlands too. But since MOP we don't have any Pandaren Horde/Alliance representation, its almost like they only stay because Blizz cant just erase an entire playable race. But for example, its really annoys me how the Horde Pandaren just acept the Zandalari as allies so easy, THEY USED TO BE ENEMIES, ZANDALARIS HELP MOGUS IN THE WAR AGAINST PANDAREN!!!! Would be great if Ji and the Houjin were upset at the beginning of BFA, they old time enemies now being they allies, but during Zandalar campaing Ji and the Houjins would be building trust on the Zandalaris and start acepting them in the Horde. Anyones remember Jojo Ironbrow? He joins the Alliance with Aysa too. During Legion it was cool for me to return my island home, but sadly there wasnt none special interaction with the NPCs, where they remember me as a part of the dojo and that stuff. At least during class hall missions the Shadopans remembers me, but it was because I do the reputation, and no because I'm a Pandaren. I remember I wanted the Vulpera to be a neutrail allied race because they fit as a "Pandaren sub specie" cuz furries. That way Alliance got Mechagnomes, Horde the marine goblins from Nazjatar (The two new zones of the same patch) and just add some pirates vulperas in Kul tiras to give them the chance of being Alliance too, just as that pirates dungeon, where theres a female pirate Vulpera. It sadly to me, that we prob not goint to have an special mission, maybe, the heritage pandaren armor mission, where Alliance pandarens encounters again with Ji, and Horde pandarens encounters Aysa. Maybe, we were send on a special mission and we face out during a battle, but we remember how we used to be friends, and we decided on leaving the zone withouht notice our leaders we "let scape" an enemie. But hope we get more representation, maybe with Lily growing up and becoming an mist healing monk, or something, right now we only can wait...

I think Playable Pandaren being a neutral race was a mistake for this alone. Their lore in Pandaria was great but the playable Pandaren were disconnected from that and it was all neutral development. The faction specific Pandaren have never done anything noteworthy nor do they really have any notable characters. The way blizzard writes i dont think they know how to make them relevant as they're shared by both factions. If they ended up joining only one faction i think they would have been better off in the long run sadly.

Even after the latest update, I'm still disappointed how shallow the questline with Taoshi was, and how they reintroduced Chen and Lili in the corrupted Vale. It's almost like they design the characters dialog to rehash why they exist, rather than adding to their story. I guess the assumption is that a vast majority of players haven't played or care for that particular expansion or race.

Pandarens have been a distasteful mistake. Get over it. Most people will never like them.
