In PTR this armor actually belonged to Madoran, the Bronzebeard from the War of the Three Hammers. That's why it looks like his statue in Loch Modan. They changed it to this new Bronzebeard we never heard of before because Madoran was only the current brothers' father or grandfather, and Blizz wanted to use a more ancient dwarf.

@@fumarc4501 The War of the Three Hammers was 500 years ago, which is quite recent by dwarf standards. Although the Bronzebeards didn't take over Ironforge until after the war, they were around much longer. It's likely they were one of the clans that founded Ironforge sometime after the Sundering, and Aegrim was their leader.

@@ConnorNotyerbidness Actually the War was about 260 years ago (from BfA) and dwarves can most likely live 400-500 years since Muradin was 221 during the Third War and he still seems to be in his prime during BfA (maybe in his 40s or 50s by human standards). This would also mean that there are dwarves that remember if not fought in the War of the Three Hammers still alive.

I think it's really stupid; he was supposed to get some kind of assistance with the Cataclysm which threatened to destroy the world soul just as much as Sargeras, but it's like they just forgot and thought "eh, we'll just thaw him out later for some other purpose". Then he comes out, a completely different person, spouting mumbo-jumbo about the titan Azeroth, taking players on tours through always newly discovered but awfully convenient chambers inside the planet that will all individually somehow kill the titan if they're damaged (like, wat), and giving away countless "the very HEART of Azeroth" proving he's just full of shit. Oh, and the annoying "I'm in a kids' cartoon" voice acting doesn't help, of course.

It's a matter of taste, i'm not into blood elves so getting retold what i already know was lame and more epic in my head. Getting to forge my own armor and empowering my racial to do it was awesome.

@@dawnheroes7574 I can think of three possible reasons why they decided to retell the Fall of Quel'thalas: 1. It fits with the other Arthas references we've seen throughout BfA. 2. Ion "The Horde is waiting for you" Hazzikostas wants Alliance players to forget about High Elves, so he made a quest that reminds the playerbase why they call themselves Blood Elves, and why they respect Sylvanas. It still wont work until they stop teasing us with High Elves. 3. Or this is just something Blizzard has wanted to do for a while. Whatever the reason, I still enjoyed the quest.

The Mountain King was hero unit in Warcraft 3, and I thought that would be a perfect choice for the dwarf heritage armor when Ion first brought up the idea of giving heritage armor to the old races. I have a dwarf hunter at level 110, and I'll do this quest when he hits max level.

Way better it looks amazing on a male dwarf warrior or paladin with taesh sadly found no matching shield so far only crest of lordaeron but it doesn't feel good enought

@@Dwalik_the_Dwarf I'm using the shield from the Trial of the Crusader Raid. In my opinion it just looks brilliant with the set, but I'm looking for a nice axe to match the set. Any idea for that? Shield drops in 25 Players, normal or heroic, first boss(es) "Beasts of Northrend" or something like that. :)

I think it was more that Azeroth spoke to Magni while he was communing with her and he gave his body to her (giggity) and became her Speaker willingly. I dont think she just yoinked him.

Oh, the armor is quite beautiful. Just a shame there's hardly any weapons to match the red and gold aesthetic and that Fury warriors can't transmog two one-handers for the authentic Mountain King Experience™. Why do we have transmog restrictions again? Heritage armor already breaks that barrier.

Alexaeus can we get a petition going for this and maybe a new non pvp ram. Obviously I’d like weapons that look nice for all the allied ones races that lack them like dwarf in this case nightborn and the new weapons the blood elf guards have to actually be obtainable. The fact nightborne weapons still aren’t in has me worried they actually don’t give a fuck

I'm just waiting for blizzard to remove transmog limitations at this point. So many heritage sets look like cloth,leather or plate at the moment. So depending on your race even a mage can be on full plate so why not just allow free transmog outside of class specific sets?

It's bad. You can say it out loud. Only armor the alliance has so far that is decent is dark iron. The rest is bad, kul tiran also looks bleh. Horde armors are way more detailed and nice...

Idk about more detailed... have you seen some of the weird clipping issues on the mag'har armor? and the highmountain armor is horrendous and that is fact my friend

@@webausay The Highmountain heritage armor is distinctively Tauren and unique, it nails the theme it's going for while giving tauren players the wearable totems they always wanted. And now that we have seen the mulgore tauren heritage set coming up in 7.2 we can also say that they nailed the aesthetic difference between the tribes.
