Oh My God! Its wonderful. Indian classical music is so well constructed and this one is beyond what i have ever listened. I feel blessed that i took interest in classical music. The more I listen , the more in wonder i fall. Pandit Bhimsen Jhosi was a gift for us from heaven. such a melodious raag , and what a voice. Made for each other. i can bet no one alive today can sing this much good.

A very few among masses have taste for Higher mathematics. Similarly a very few blessed ones have a taste for Indian classical music. Ignore those who dislike.

When & where was it sung? It seems Srinivas has provided vocal accompaniment.I have a recording of the same Rag for 40 mts.after which he sang thumri in Tilang and 'Jamuna ke teer',in a concert organised by us at Ramkrishna Mission,Gol Park which was broadcast by DD

Hello Vrinda Ji,You are right that this Raaga (Shuddha Kalyan) is Bhoopali in aaroh and Kalyan in Avroh. But the presentation is very important. If you don't take care of its "Chalan" it will either sound like Bhupali or Yaman. So far whatever I have heard, except Pt Bhimsen Ji and Pt Venkatesh Kumar Ji, most of others have messed it up. This is a very beautiful Raaga and very melodious too. I love it.
