His command of sarod aside, the way he presented a raag has always been an example. A better presentation on sarod of Kedaar will be difficult to find.

Panditji's Raagdhari has always been infused with a wonderful Gayaki Ang in the Alaap. He truly sings through the Sarod! It is amazing to see the master at work.

Excellent recording. Thanks for uploading. Please note that there are two rāgas played here: Kedār (ālāp, jor, vilambit tintāl gat) and Tilak Kāmod (aochar ālāp, drut tintāl gat, jhālā).

The plectrum must be a triangle of coconut shell that finds its form with use. The fingerboard must be of staining steel; stainless doesn't glide properly. The oil must be motor oil, no veg.
