Pando Cheshid (Pando=Pandavas, Cheshid=Written/played) is a place situated in the Kumo Rango (Kumo=Inner side, Rango=Hilltop) of the Kinnaur District of Himachal Pradesh (H.P.), India. The area of Kumo Rango starts from Ghumrang till Rora.
This place is situated on the top of Pagramang valley (Chagaon, Urni, Yula, and Meeru village) of Kinnaur. It is believed that Pandavas built a lake here during the Agnayat Vas (the last year of exile) by making a zig-zag / serpentine shape water canal. Later Lord Krishna's temple was built in the midst of the lake, this small lake and temple is the main attraction of religious activity.
Each year the festival of Sri Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated as a district-level festival here, which was started during the time of King Kehri Singh of Bushahar Riyasat.
It takes a lot of effort to reach here, one can reach here by trekking either from Chagaon (via Dhumshakhar) or Urni or Yula village of Kinnaur.
There are lots of myths and history associated with this place which can be seen in the traditional songs or elders' stories of the tribal district of Kinnaur, HP.
